Tesla's five shortcomings

1, battery Although there is no product comparable to Tesla's battery on the market, Tesla's battery structure combination is not optimal.

2. The motor used by Tesla is an AC motor (also called an induction motor). AC motors are characterized by light weight, low price and easy maintenance. But AC motor is not the best choice. Compared with DC motor, DC brushless motor is more efficient and does not need converter.

3. Climate As an electric car produced in Silicon Valley, Tesla also has certain characteristics of Silicon Valley. The performance and adaptability of this car on the west coast have been highly evaluated, while in other areas, such as the east coast and central China, there is no such high evaluation. The unique climate in North America makes the winter in the central and eastern regions extremely cold, and it is easy to reach about MINUS 30 degrees Celsius. Tesla's unique door handle design has added a lot of trouble to users in these aspects.

4. The lack of mechanical buttons Tesla greatly simplifies the traditional mechanical buttons. On Model S, Tesla canceled mechanical buttons such as skylights and windows, and even the design of interior lights, fog lights and headlights was controlled by the center console.

5. Autopilot: Tesla's autopilot is far from perfect. Although elon musk has been stressing that several accidents cannot explain the defects of Tesla's autonomous driving, it is undeniable that Tesla's autonomous driving is far from mature. This year alone, Tesla's autonomous driving caused at least three fatal traffic accidents.
