Japanese Fireworks Festival, the Japanese fireworks festivals held every year in Japan include: Akita Prefecture’s “National Fireworks Contest Omagari Fireworks”, Ibaraki Prefecture’s “Tsuchiura National Fireworks Contest”, Niigata Prefecture’s “Nagaoka Festival” Big Fireworks Display".

The annual Japanese Fireworks Display is held from late July to mid-August. Last year's Japan Yamagata Fireworks Festival was held on the 14th at the Sukawa River embankment in Yamagata City. About 20,000 fireworks shot into the sky.

Daisen City, Akita Prefecture

Quantity: about 18,000, date: August 25, time: 17:00 to 17:45, 18:50 to 21:30, in case of Rainy days: If the weather is bad, it will be postponed. Location: Kawashiki on the right bank of the Omonogawa River. Transportation: 30 minutes' walk from JR Omagari Station.

Tsuchiura City, Ibaraki Prefecture

Time: 18:00 to 20:30, in case of rain: postponed if the weather is bad, location: near Sakuragawa Gakuen Bridge, transportation: JR Tsuchiura A 30-minute walk from JR Tsuchiura Station, or a 10-minute temporary bus ride from JR Tsuchiura Station

Nagaoka City, Niigata Prefecture

Traffic control is generally implemented during the Japanese Fireworks Festival, and even vehicles are prohibited from entering. It is recommended to avoid driving there by yourself and try to use public transportation facilities.
