Linli County is located in the northwest of Hunan, in the middle and lower reaches of Lishui River, surrounded by mountains in the east, west and south, Tianjin in the east, Dingcheng and Taoyuan in the south, Shimen in the west and Lixian in the north. Linli is a humid monsoon climate with a transition from the middle subtropical zone to the north subtropical zone.
