Longling County, a county under the jurisdiction of Baoshan City, Yunnan Province, is located in the western border of Yunnan, between the Nujiang River and Longchuan River at the southern foot of Gaoligong Mountain, with a land area of 2,884 square kilometers, a border line of 19.7 1 km and a mountainous area of 98%. The county has jurisdiction over 5 towns, 5 townships, 5 urban communities, 46 rural communities and 70 village committees, and there are 23 ethnic groups including Han, Lisu, Yi, Dai and Achang.

Longling is a Gaoligong mountain system in the southern extension of Hengduan Mountains in western Yunnan, surrounded by Nujiang River and Longchuan River, with high mountains and deep valleys, criss-crossing gullies, 98% of which are mountainous, with a forest coverage rate of 73.62%, an annual average temperature of 15.0 degrees Celsius and an annual average rainfall of 212.6 mm, which is called "the mountain".
