2. Introduction of Fan Jing Scenic Area

Fanjing Mountain, named after the pure land of Brahma, is located at the junction of Yinjiang, Jiangkou and Songtao (southwest) counties in tongren city, Guizhou Province, with a latitude of 27 49 ′ 50 ″-28 ″1′ 30 ″ and an longitude of108 45 ′ 55 ″. It is the main peak of China Buddhist Dojo and Wuling Mountain in nature reserve, located in the middle of Tongren area.

Fan Jing has a total area of 567 square kilometers, heritage area of 402.75 square kilometers and buffer area of 372.39 square kilometers. The main protected objects are rare wild animals, plants and primitive forest ecosystems represented by Guizhou golden monkey (Rhinopithecus roxellanaebreichi) and DavidiainvolucrateBaill. The forest coverage rate is 95%, with more than 2,000 species of plants, 3 1 species of national protected plants, 80 1 species of animals and 0/9 species of national protected animals. It is known as "the oasis of the earth", "the gene bank of animals and plants" and "the precious heritage of mankind".

On June 7th, 2008, Fan Jing was awarded as a national AAAAA scenic spot and a national nature reserve. It has been rated as one of the top ten summer resorts in China, the famous Maitreya Bodhisattva Dojo in China, a member of the international "Man and Biosphere Protection Network" (MAB) and a world recognized by the 42nd World Heritage Conference. On July 2nd, 20 18, at the World Heritage Conference held in Manama, Bahrain, Fan Jing, Guizhou, China was approved to be included in the World Natural Heritage List.
