Guangxi is located in the south of the motherland, east longitude10428 ′ ~1204 ′, north latitude 20 54 ′ ~ 26 24 ′, and the Tropic of Cancer runs through the middle. It borders Guangdong Province in the east, Beibu Gulf in the south and Hainan Province across the sea, Yunnan Province in the west, Hunan Province in the northeast, Guizhou Province in the northwest and the Socialist Republic of Vietnam in the southwest.
The land area of the administrative region is 237,600 square kilometers, and the jurisdiction area of Beibu Gulf is about 40,000 square kilometers. There are 646 islands along the coast, of which Weizhou Island, the largest, covers an area of about 24.7 square kilometers. There is a floating island in the south of Guangxi, also known as Nightingale Island.
Guangxi is located at a low latitude, with the Tropic of Cancer running through the central part, bordering tropical oceans in the south, Nanling Mountains in the north and Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau in the west, belonging to subtropical monsoon climate zone and tropical monsoon climate. The climate is warm, with abundant rainfall and sunshine. In summer, the sunshine time is long, the temperature is high, the precipitation is high, and in winter, the sunshine time is short, and the weather is dry and warm.
Affected by the alternation of warm and humid airflow in southwest China and denatured cold air mass in north China, meteorological disasters such as drought, rainstorm, tropical cyclone, strong wind, thunderstorm, hail and low temperature chilling injury (freezing) are more common.
The annual average temperature is 17.5 ~ 23.5℃. In most parts of Guilin and Longlin, Jingxi, Debao, leye county, Fengshan, Nandan, Luocheng, Sanjiang, Rong 'an and Jinxiu, the temperature is below 20.0℃, the lowest in Jinxiu is 17.5℃, and the highest in Weizhou Island is 23.5℃.
In spring, the average temperature in the whole autonomous region is 22.2℃, which is 1.3℃ higher than normal, and the second highest since 195 1. The average annual precipitation in various places is 84 1.2 ~ 3387.5 mm.
