Where is the worse door?
Nantianmen in Taishan, formerly known as Santianmen and Tianmen Pass, is at an altitude of 1 460m, where the mountain is the most dangerous. Looking up from the bottom, it looks like a palace in the sky and is the gateway to the top of Mount Tai. The worse gate was founded in 1264. It was rebuilt many times in the Ming and Qing Dynasties and renovated twice after the founding of the People's Republic of China. This building maintains the style of the Qing Dynasty.
The characteristics of Nantianmen
Nantianmen is a famous symbol of Mount Tai, and its conception and construction is the best example of the perfect combination of human landscape and natural landscape in Mount Tai. The vertical climate changes obviously. With the change of seasonal climate, the natural landscape is also varied. Especially in summer, due to abundant rainfall, the top of Mount Tai is often shrouded in clouds. The colorful and ever-changing clouds of Mount Tai, together with lush pines and cypresses, add a mysterious color to the majesty of Mount Tai.
