1949 In March, after the establishment of Taiyuan Municipal People's Government, Shouyang County was under the jurisdiction of a special agency in Taiyuan City. 1June, 949, Shouyang County was under the jurisdiction of Yuci Agency, later called Jinzhong Administrative Office. In 2000, Jinzhong withdrew land to build a city, and Shouyang County was under the jurisdiction of Jinzhong City. Shouyang County is located in the east of Shanxi Province, with Heng Yue as its pillow and the winding Taihang Mountain, in the middle and upper reaches of the river.
