The reporter learned from the North China Air Traffic Control Bureau that due to the weather, some flights at the Capital Airport were overstocked. As of 15: 15, 63 flights have been cancelled at the Capital Airport and 18 flights have been reserved from other stations.

After the sudden severe convective weather, the Capital Airport started the emergency consultation mechanism of the Transportation Management Committee of the Capital Airport at 15: 30 to coordinate the resident units of the Capital Airport and carry out the flight pick-up and release work after the weather improved. In order to avoid hail, the entrance and exit of this field are suspended.

According to the forecast of the Meteorological Center of North China Air Traffic Control Bureau, this severe convective weather with thunderstorm, hail and strong wind will last until 15: 40. According to the subsequent weather conditions, the Capital Airport will gradually resume flight release.

It is understood that this year is the year of La Nina's influence. It is estimated that the number of thunderstorms in the Capital Airport this year will be more than the average number in previous years, and the number of severe thunderstorms will also increase significantly, and there may be more extreme weather than in the same period of the year. It is expected that North China will enter the rainy season in early July this year, and the precipitation at the Capital Airport will increase significantly compared with the same period of last year.
