Luxi cattle breeding technology

Luxi cattle are an excellent beef cattle breed in my country. They are native to southwestern Shandong Province and are famous for producing high-grade beef cattle. In daily management, this kind of cattle is resistant to rough feeding and easy to manage. The breeding range of Luxi cattle in Shandong is very wide, and people need to master key breeding techniques and certain breeding skills.

Cattle breeding in Luxi mainly relies on green roughage. Feed is the material basis for cattle fattening, so the feed must be properly matched. The ration is: 5kg hay, 8kg silage corn straw, # grains for distiller, 3kg corn flour, 0.5kg bean cake, 100g urea, 50g salt. The main source of hay is artificially grown grass, such as hn-mc sweet sorghum, hn-mc Mexican corn, hn-mc sweet sorghum, etc. Feed three times a day, that is, six o'clock in the morning, 12 o'clock in the morning, 12 o'clock in the afternoon, and 6 o'clock in the afternoon. Feed should be small and frequent, and the feeding time should be 1 to 1.5 hours each time. Don't let cattle overeat, so that cattle can maintain a strong appetite every time they are fed and improve feed utilization.

The cattle shed for Luxi cattle breeding should be ventilated and dry, and the inside and outside of the shed should be kept sanitary. In order to ensure the normal growth and development of beef cattle, the hygiene of the shed must be maintained. Remove cow dung in time and remove cow dung when feeding cows every day. Clean barns and troughs. After feeding the cattle every day, clean the mixer and feeding trough promptly. The cowshed must be disinfected once a month. The floors and walls of the cowshed should be sprayed with 1% sodium hydroxide solution. When the ammonia smell is strong, peracetic acid should be used for disinfection, and the cowshed door can be disinfected with lime.

Luxi scalpers don’t need to drink less water. Many farmers believe that they only feed their cattle water when the weather is hot in the summer. In fact, in winter, having enough drinking water is necessary. Cattle mainly eat hay, so sufficient drinking water must be provided. The lack of drinking water not only affects the feed intake of cattle, but also affects the digestion and utilization of feed by cattle, making the coat and skin of cattle dry and sunken. Cattle need to drink water twice a day. One hour after eating, the water supplied must be clean and at a suitable temperature.

Let the cows bask in the sun. When the weather is good, you should take the cows out of the house to bask in the sun. Brushing the cows' hair at the same time can prevent skin diseases and ectoparasites, promote blood circulation, and enhance the cow's cold resistance. It is extremely beneficial to beef cattle and makes them fat.
