Weather in Lingqiu, Datong, Shanxi

Hunyuan, belonging to Datong City, Shanxi Province, is located in the northeast of Shanxi Province, in the middle and upper reaches of Hunhe River, a tributary of Sanggan River. It is bordered by Guangling in the east, Lingqiu and Fan Shi in the southeast, and Datong and Yanggao in the north, with a total area of 1966 square kilometers. It has jurisdiction over 6 towns, 358 administrative villages and 12 townships, with a total population of 343,486 (20 10).

Hunyuan originated in the Western Han Dynasty and was named after the Tang Dynasty. Because the Hunhe River originated in the county seat, it was named Hunyuan. There are scenic spots such as Mount Hengshan and Hanging Temple in the territory.

Organizational system evolution

Hunyuan belonged to Jizhou in Xia and Shang Dynasties. Hengshan Town was a state in the Western Zhou Dynasty. In the Spring and Autumn Period, it belonged to the country.

The first county of Qin Shihuang, called Yan County, belongs to Yanmen County. Soon it was renamed Pingshu, which belonged to Dai Jun.

In the Western Han Dynasty, Pingshuo County was abandoned and became Hun County, which belonged to Hengshan County. Wang Mang was changed to Mazhang County in the New Dynasty, and it still belongs to Changshan (Hengshan) County. The Eastern Han Dynasty restored the name of Ma County, and later it was the Three Kingdoms.

In the Northern Wei Dynasty, the capital was moved to Pingcheng (now Datong), which was renamed Shicheng County and belonged to SHEN WOO County. The first year of Tianxing was renamed Lushan County. In the Eastern Wei Dynasty, it was changed to Langzhou. During the Northern Qi Dynasty, it was changed to the Northern County Order.

At the beginning of the Sui Dynasty, the Northern County Order was renamed Pingkou County, and later changed back to Ma County. Hunyuan was called Hunyuan in Tang Dynasty because Hunhe River originated in this county.

During the Five Dynasties, Suizhou in Jinxian County was still Hunyuan.

In the second year of Jin Zhenyou (12 14), Hunyuan House was established in the county.

At the beginning of the Yuan Dynasty, Hunyuan was changed to Hengyin County, which belonged to Xijing (Datong) and was soon reused as Hunyuan County.

During the Ming and Qing Dynasties, it was called Hunyuan House, which belonged to Datong House.

In May of the first year of the Republic of China, it was changed to Hunyuan, and then it belonged to Yanmen Road. During the War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression period, the mountainous areas in the north and south of the county were anti-Japanese bases, belonging to the Shanxi-Chahar-Hebei border region. 1937, which belongs to the First Administrative Inspector Office of Shanxi Province. 1939, which belongs to the government of Shanxi-Chahar-Hebei Border Region and the Yanbei Office of Cha 'nan. 1940 to 1945 are the second, fifth and first agencies of the Shanxi-Chahar-Hebei border region government. Hunyuan was liberated in 1945. 1947 belongs to Yanbei organization in Chahar province.

1952 returned to Shanxi province. It belongs to the Yanbei institution of Shanxi Province, and later changed to the Jinbei institution of Shanxi Province, and the Yanbei District Administrative Office of Shanxi Province.

1993 Yanbei area merged with Datong City, which is a county under the jurisdiction of Datong City.

Hunyuan is located between 39.67 ~ 39.83 north latitude and113.72 ~13.92 east longitude, on the southeast edge of Datong basin in the northeast of Shanxi Province, in the middle and upper reaches of Hunhe River, a tributary of Sanggan River.
