The welding pipes are connected by electric melting through pipe fittings, and the following steps should be done before connection:
1. Power supply: There are two kinds of power supplies for the welding machine: 22V and two-phase 38V, so be sure to check them clearly before use. If the transmission distance is too long, the cable should be properly thickened to reduce line loss.
2. Trial welding machine: After connecting the power supply, debug the welder to see if it can work normally.
3. Connecting piece: Connect the output line of the welding machine with the terminal post of the pipe fitting, and there shall be no looseness, resulting in poor contact.
4. Start welding: When the welding button is started, the voltage and current "regulator" must return to the zero position. After starting, slowly adjust the voltage and current "regulator" to make the voltage and current reach the set value, and the adjustment should not be too fast. Generally, the voltage will rise one by one. Due to different weather, climate and seasons, the welding parameters are affected, so it is necessary to pause, extend and shorten the reference parameters provided by the company during the welding process. In order to ensure the applicability of the parameters, it is best for PE steel skeleton manufacturers to provide reference parameters. Before the project starts, one or two destructive pipe fitting welding tests, that is, anatomical tests, are conducted according to the site conditions to observe the welding effect.
5. Adjust parameters: During welding, abnormal conditions may occur, and parameters need to be adjusted, such as voltage and current rising too fast. Due to the weather, fit gap and different materials, the welding parameters are affected, so it is necessary to pause, extend and shorten the parameters during the welding process.
6. welding is completed: after welding is completed, disconnect the output line from the pipe fitting. Observe whether the temperature of the pipe fittings is normal, whether there is a big difference between the left and right before and after the temperature, and whether the appearance is affected by the discharge. If there is any abnormal phenomenon, it should be removed on the spot. Protective measures (heat preservation) should be taken when welding connection is carried out in cold climate (below-5℃) and windy environment, and construction cannot be carried out without taking measures. The installation and welding of pipe fittings can be heated by building a simple shed.
7. After cooling and welding, keep the joint in a natural state during the cooling process, and ensure that it is not affected by any external force during the cooling process. It is not allowed to move or rotate the joint parts and pipelines on both sides. The cooling time should be determined according to the climatic conditions and the size of pipe fittings.
8. The pipeline in the pressure test device can be tested in different systems according to the system. However, it should be noted that all pipelines connected with the outer pipe cannot be separated from the outer pipe due to the particularity of PE steel skeleton pipe (without the inlet valve). In this case, the water can only be tested once during the overall linkage test run, and the pressure of strength test cannot be reached. There is no guarantee that there will be leakage after the pressure test.
