What should turtles pay attention to when hibernating?

Before the hibernation period, check the growth of the turtle, add more feed to the weak, and feed more feed that the turtle likes to eat, so that the turtle can accumulate a lot of nutrients, grow strong, and survive the winter safely.

About 10 days before hibernation, deprive the turtle of food to allow it to eliminate feces from the body. When it completely enters the hibernation state, just cover it with a moist towel and then put it in the A place with little noise will do.

Turtles are cold-blooded animals, and their lives are greatly affected by the ambient temperature. From November to March of the following year, when the temperature is below 10°C, the turtle lies quietly in the mud at the bottom of the pond or in the loose soil covered with straw. It does not eat or move and hibernates. At this time, its metabolism is very slow. and weak.

It is not until early April, when the temperature rises above 15°C, that the turtle begins to resume activities and eat a large amount of food. Therefore, there is no need to feed food or change water during the hibernation period. The main work during this period is one. The first is heat preservation, such as covering the straw around the pool and the open space between the pool and the wall; the second is to prevent the tortoise's natural enemies.
