It is 2184m above sea level, with a water area of nearly10km2 and a maximum water depth of 370m. It is the highest and largest crater lake in China and the birthplace of Songhua River, Tumen River and Yalu River.

The reason why Changbai Mountain is strange is that there are "water monsters" and "sea eyes". This is a Tianchi lake with only a water outlet and no water inlet, but the water in the pool is inexhaustible. Experts say it is caused by groundwater and natural precipitation.
