Overview of Bamian Mountain in Hengdian

Many villages and market towns in Zhejiang are surrounded by mountains and rivers, and Hengdian is no exception. When we arrived at Hengdian, we met a magnificent hill-Fan Weishan stands on the bridgehead in the south of the Yangtze River. On the mountain wall, four one-meter square big copper characters "One Town in the South of the Yangtze River" resolutely stood between the green layers of Parthenocissus tricuspidata.

Shining golden light, very eye-catching. Hengdian is a small basin, Bamian Mountain is on the northeast side of the basin, facing the buildings on the southwest side of the basin, with farmland and sporadic natural villages in the middle. From the satellite remote sensing map, the earth's basin is similar to a crater on the moon and seems to be related to meteorite impact. The trend of the mountains around the basin is difficult to be simply explained by the folds of tectonic movement, but it is very similar to the water waves splashed by falling rocks. I don't know if the small basin in Hengdian was formed by meteorite impact, but the formation of Bamian Mountain was obviously later than the surrounding mountains, which can be seen from the weathering age of the sacred symbols of the peaks such as Jinniubei and Nantianmen. When the volcano erupts, it not only arches the strata rocks such as Jinniubei and Nantianmen, but also splits the Gu Shan on the edge. The golden sword of Pingyandongfu (a cliff about one meter wide) on the north side of the basin is unfathomable, extending from the top of the mountain to the foot of the mountain for hundreds of meters. Legend has it that someone tied a heavy object with a catty of silk and couldn't reach the head, hence the name. The formation of rock outcrops on both sides of the stream is a miracle. If you put a stone in it, it will have a wonderful sound and it will last for a long time. It seems to be directly related to the rock fracture caused by the eruption of Bamianshan volcano. Bamian Mountain is an extinct volcano in Quaternary. The so-called Quaternary is the last "period" of geological history, which began 2.5 million years ago. At the beginning of this century, there appeared human ancestors related to modern humans, such as Chinese apes and Neanderthals, so it is also called the "supernatural era", which is indeed a period of "the universe is mysterious and yellow". There is an upper limit to the age of material formation, and the upper limit of "Neolithic" is now.

About ten thousand years, the lower limit is about three thousand years. In other words, the current batch of "Hengdian Group products" has a history of at least 3,000 years. At the latest, 2.5 million years ago, a group of men and women in Hengdian worked hard in this basin, looking for edible underground roots and plant fragments with stones in their hands (Figure 7 and Figure 1 are for excavation) (Hengdian people like to eat ginger). Without men and women, human beings cannot reproduce; Only self-reliance, male ploughing and female weaving is the future. The weather may be hotter than this summer. They don't know that disaster is coming, but they are still sweating for it. Suddenly, the sky collapsed and the volcano erupted. Some people leave their tools and run away, while others may be too late. Like the shellfish in Shilin, Yunnan, it is "lucky" to be buried underground, waiting for the development of future generations. After a slight earthquake, I saw a golden bull's back arched on Bamian Mountain, the northeast corner of the basin. The residual heat of lava did not retreat, and it shone with dazzling golden light under the sunshine of Dongsheng. Maybe they want to save their buried relatives. Those Hengdian people who survived through hardships rushed to Bamian Mountain again, and they began to dig. At this time, they first got more tools and materials from Bamian Mountain, so many stone workshops were scattered around Bamian Mountain, and Bamian Mountain became the sacred mountain of Hengdian people. Today, many legends about Bamian Mountain and many customs of Hengdian people seem to have found their roots here.
