Naqu is a prefecture-level city in Xizang Autonomous Region.

Naqu is located in northern Tibet, the hinterland of Qinghai-Tibet Plateau. It is the source of the Yangtze River, Nujiang River, Lhasa River, Gong Yi Zangbo and other major rivers. It is adjacent to Changdu City in the east, Lhasa City, Shigatse City and Linzhi City in the south, and Ali area in the west. During this period, the climate is dry, the temperature is low, and the oxygen-deficient sandstorm is large and lasts for a long time. May to September is relatively warm, which is the golden season of grassland. The climate is mild and the weather is pleasant. Rainfall accounts for 80% of the whole year, and the growth period of green plants is about 100 days, all of which are concentrated in this season.
