Resolution 1

Referees (also applicable to assistant referees or fourth officials) are not responsible for the following situations:

Any injury to team members, officials or spectators;

Any damage to any property;

Any loss suffered by any individual, club, company, association or similar institution due to or likely to be due to its judgment according to the competition rules or the requirements of maintaining, conducting and controlling the competition according to normal procedures.

This may include:

The referee decides whether to play or not according to the influence of the venue and its surroundings or the weather;
