Lights on the car

The main lighting equipment in the car includes headlights, fog lights and turn signals, among which headlights are divided into low beam lights and high beam lights.

Low beam lamp: used for short-distance lighting, the standard irradiation distance is 30 meters to 40 meters. Although the distance is short, the beam is scattered and the coverage angle is large, which is mainly used for daily driving at night.

High beam: Due to the high concentrated brightness of the beam, the farthest irradiation distance can reach hundreds of meters.

Fog lights: Fog lights are usually yellow and have strong penetration. Effectively improve the visibility of drivers in rainy and foggy weather with low visibility.

Instructions for use of various lamps:

1. Use of low beam lamp:

The low beam lights must be turned on in the following situations: driving in a dark area without street lights, and driving at night when it is dark or dawn; If you catch up with fog, heavy snow or heavy rain and your sight is blocked, you must turn on the low beam even during the day; Although some road sections have lighting devices, the brightness is not enough. At this time, the low beam lamp should also be turned on.

2. The use of high beam:

The irradiation angle is higher, so the irradiation distance is farther, the light is more concentrated and the brightness is higher. In principle, as long as there is no other lighting equipment and there is no traffic on the opposite side, you can use the high beam. Otherwise, it will seriously interfere with the other party's sight and even cause traffic accidents. Generally, it is best not to turn on the high beam when driving in urban areas, because the lighting conditions in urban areas are generally better. The high beam angle is too high, which easily shakes the eyes of the opposite car and the surrounding pedestrians, affecting others' sight, which is an unsafe and impolite driving behavior.

3. The use of turn signal:

As the name implies, the turn signal is used to indicate that the vehicle needs to turn. When the vehicle needs to turn, it must be opened in advance, and it can only turn when it is confirmed that there is no car coming from the rear. It is forbidden to turn immediately after turning on the light without confirming the rear. Turn on the left turn signal before overtaking, and make sure that overtaking conditions are available before overtaking. If the rear car intends to overtake, you can turn right to signal the rear car to overtake.

4. Some other lights:

The function of double flashing lights is to warn other vehicles and prevent rear-end lamp accidents when vehicles have accidents. When the visibility is less than 100 meters, such as fog, rain, snow and dust, it should also be used, except when the vehicle breaks down and stops temporarily.

5. Use of position lamp:

The color of the outline lamp is white before and red after, as shown in the figure below. When the light switch is turned to the first gear, the lights that are lit before and after are in the outline category. The position light is for other vehicles to see when driving at night. When the rearview mirror is not clear, turn on the small light, especially in rainy days. However, many drivers will use position lights instead of low beam lights to drive in the dark, which is very dangerous because the width lights can't illuminate the road ahead.

Skills of using car lights:

1, flash the high beam: remind the vehicle in front to "hurry up" and remind the other party to turn off the high beam.

2. The headlights flash: agree to the request of other vehicles to merge.

3. Headlight flashing: Reject the request of other vehicles to merge.

4. The headlights flash three times: to remind the driver of the neighboring car that there is something wrong with the vehicle.
