Langfang is a third-tier city.

Langfang is a prefecture-level city directly under the jurisdiction of Hebei Province, located in the east of central Hebei Province, between Beijing and Tianjin, and is known as the Pearl of Beijing-Tianjin Corridor. Langfang City is located in the middle and lower reaches of Haihe River Basin and is known as the "lower tip of Jiujiang". Langfang is known as the "Pearl on the Beijing-Tianjin Corridor". Langfang is the geographical center of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei urban agglomeration, located between Beijing and Tianjin, and all counties (cities, districts) under its jurisdiction 10 border on Beijing and Tianjin. Known as the "Beijing-Tianjin Corridor and Golden Zone".

The urban area is 40 kilometers away from Tiananmen Square in Beijing, 60 kilometers away from the central area of Tianjin, 70 kilometers away from the capital and Tianjin Airport, 0/00 kilometers away from Tianjin Port, and close to the planned Beijing New Airport. Seven expressways and five railway trunk lines cross the territory, and 10 national highway and 20 provincial highways crisscross, making it one of the areas with the highest density of railways and highways in China.

Langfang City is located in the mid-latitude zone, with a continental monsoon climate of warm temperate zone and four distinct seasons. Summer is hot and rainy, winter is cold and dry, spring is dry and windy, and autumn is refreshing and cool. The annual average temperature in Langfang is 1 1.9℃. January is the coldest, with an average monthly temperature of -4.7℃. July is the hottest, with an average monthly temperature of 26.2℃.
