Ian Temple: the birthplace of Li Shimin, Emperor Taizong.

Li Shimin, Emperor Taizong of Tang Dynasty, was a wise monarch with remarkable achievements, which attracted worldwide attention in the prosperous Tang Dynasty. However, where he was born is a question that historians have been exploring and paying attention to for many years.

Li Shimin (599__649), the second son of Li Yuan. After killing Prince Li in 626, he forced Gaozu to meditate. After 23 years in office, he died suddenly in 649 at the age of 5 1.

Under the correct leadership of the district committee and government, in May of 20 12, with the birth of the Li Shimin Research Association in Yangling District of Xianyang City, it was not until February of 20 15 that the Shaanxi Provincial People's Government announced the "Ian Temple" in Jianzigou Village, Lee Tae Sub-district Office in Yangling District as the fifth batch of intangible cultural projects, and it was officially the birthplace of Li Shimin.

According to historical records, 14 18 years ago, that is, on the 23rd day of the first month in 599, Li Shimin was born in Wugong Castle Peak Palace, that is, Tangwang Cave in Jianzigou. He lived here 14 years when he was a child. The soil and water here nurtured him, the humanities here nurtured him, and the vitality of success was injected into him. The cornerstone of his life was cast here.

Because Li Shimin was born here, since ancient times, every year on the 23rd day of the first month, the ancient temple fair of Ian Temple and the eight villages of Liushe held sacrificial activities, singing big plays, lighting social fires, burning incense, playing gongs and drums, which were crowded and very lively. There are also mountain products, daily necessities, livestock and other material exchange activities. People from Fufeng, Meixian, Zhouzhi, Wugong, Xingping and Ganxian all gathered in Jianzigou to visit the temple fair.

Li Shimin was a great emperor in the history of China. He is the founder of the prosperous Tang Dynasty. He is famous in history for his chastity, and he is famous at home and abroad. Li Shimin, the birthplace of Emperor Taizong, is known as "the former site of the martial arts school", "another martial arts school" and "Castle Peak Palace" in history. That is now the "Ian Temple" in Jianzigou, Lee Tae Sub-district Office in Yangling District.

Yangling was originally a town under the jurisdiction of Wugong County. 1982 established Yangling District of Baoji City, and 1984 was transferred to Xianyang City. At present, the original site of Ian Temple is Jianzigou Middle School. At the beginning of liberation, it was "the second complete primary school in the second district of Wugong County". There is also a clear record in the history of Li Shimin's birthplace: Wugong County Chronicle (15 19) written by Kang Hai, the top scholar in Ming Dynasty, is also the first county chronicle listed as a scenic spot in history: "Jianzigou, 17 miles south of the county, near Qingshan Palace-Emperor Taizong hangs an arc." ; Yongzheng's Shaanxi Tongzhi * Volume 29 * Memorial II (1735): "Ian Temple is under construction, that is, the reconstruction of Tang Gaozu's former residence." ; Jiaqing's "Continuation of the Records of Wugong County * Second Construction Records": "Yong 'an Town has 47 Lingbao, with 1,933 households ... There is Ian Temple in the northeast Jianzigou, and there is a clock in the 61st year of Kangxi (1722), which reads:' Castle Peak Palace, later changed to Ian Temple'. " ; At the end of the Republic of China (1943), Wugong County ordered Wen Erli to inscribe the "Taizong Hanging Arc Hall" for the Tang Dynasty.

Tangwangdong was listed as "the first batch of district-level key cultural relics protection units" by Yangling District Government on August 1992.

"Records of Yangling District" records on page 627: "Li Shimin was born in Wugong Castle Peak Palace, namely Jianzigou Village, Lee Tae Sub-district Office.

As for local chronicles, from Jiajing (1542), Shaanxi Tongzhi was listed in Jianzigou, a historical site, to 15, a martial arts scenic spot, published in1934+February in the Republic of China. Castle Peak Palace and Jianzigou were both listed as two places.

Because Ian Temple is close to Jianzigou, people call Ian Temple "Jianzigou Temple". 1The First Literature and History of Wugong County published in July, 1985 recorded on pages 18 and 19: "Tangwangdong. There is a small hole in the northwest corner of Ian Temple in Nanjianzigou, the old city of Wugong County. The villagers call it "Tang Wangdong", which is the birthplace of Emperor Taizong. The forehead of the cave has the wooden tablet side of the calligraphy "Taizong Hanging Arc (Suo)" written by Wen Er, the commander of Wugong County in the thirty-third year of the Republic of China. " "Tie the horse (pile). Outside the gate of Ian Temple, it is said that Emperor Taizong tied a tree (pile), which has no branches and leaves and will not die for thousands of years. Queen Dou, Li Shimin's mother. Yang Di was born in 569 and died in Zhuo Jun County (now Zhuozhou City, Hebei Province) at the age of 45. She was buried in the "martial arts world" by the Weihe River. After the Tang dynasty had the world, it ran after the "Queen Tai Mu". Her graveyard is called "Shouanling". Li Yuan died and was buried in Sanyuan "Fairy Spirit".

Because Dou lives in Yangling, she has a good memory of Yangling. This is a poem written by her, which proves that Li Shimin was born here.

Poetry says: lacquer water is clear, Wei water is bright, and the two waters meet like crystal.

There are several Upright ships on the left bank, willow trees on the right bank and Weihe River.

There is a "Tangwangdong" near Jianzigou in Wuhuali, southeast of Yangling Town, which is said to be the birthplace of Li Shimin, Emperor Taizong. Why Li Shimin was born here, we have to start from the beginning.

Li Shimin's father Li Yuan was an official in the Sui Dynasty. At that time, the army was stationed in the Ji Cheng area of Longxi. On the orders of the imperial court, he was transferred to Shanxi to guard Taiyuan. Tang Gaozu commanded the army and horses, working day and night behind his family's back. A few days later, the soldiers marched into Shaanxi Guanzhong. At that time, Li Yuan's wife, Mrs. Dou, was pregnant with the world. Plus, she's going on a business trip for several days, and she's sick, so it's getting harder and harder to walk.

In the winter of 598, it was already late at night when Li Yuan's troops arrived near Yangling in Weibei Plain. The cold wind roared, snowflakes fell in succession, and the world was gloomy. Mrs. Dou is fidgeting in the car. In a coma, when I opened the curtain, a chill came over my heart, and I couldn't help shivering. I feel a dull pain in my stomach and feel sick. The attendants quickly called the general, and the general's wife whispered, "You are a senior official of the imperial court and in charge of military affairs. You can't delay it. Let me hide my name and have a baby here! " Hearing this, Tang Gaozu heart "hitched", can't help but take a step back. People often say, "Don't give up your other half in the same way", let alone a loving couple. How can you give up? I was at a loss. Seeing the general's intention, Mrs. weak gas pleaded feebly, "The world has changed. How can we care a lot now?" . For the future of Li Men's descendants and generals, you should come up with an idea quickly. In the face of swarming troops and heavy snow, Tang Gaozu only felt that his wife was right, so he nodded by default.

At this time, the wind is stronger and the snow is more fierce. Tang Gaozu looked at the distant ranks of military forces, frown, awkward. It's midnight. Where can my wife live? When I was worried, I suddenly heard a long sound not far ahead; There was still a little light on, so he hurried to knock with his wife.

It turns out that this is a temple where more than a dozen Taoist priests live. After listening to the general's story, an old man warmly greeted his wife and called her to rest in the guest house in the back hall. Tang Gaozu also wanted to say a few words to the veteran. Suddenly, he heard drums and shasheng in front of him and hurried after the troops.

After a few days, my wife got better and got pregnant more and more. Where can the baby be born? The monks looked at each other, puzzled. How can I push my wife out of the door and ignore her for world peace? As soon as everyone discussed it, they dug a cave near the cliff behind the temple. Strange to say, it's cold outside, hot inside, hot outside, cold inside, not wet or damp, and all around it is dry. A heatable adobe sleeping platform was set up by the window. Mrs. Dou is very comfortable living here.

One day, it was getting late, and Mrs. Dou was sitting on the heatable adobe sleeping platform in the cave. She is making a jumpsuit for the child with an old cotton-padded coat. There was no news, and her hand was pricked by a needle. "ouch!" ! I immediately felt my stomach squirming, getting worse and worse. I called a child and invited mother Wang from the next village.

At about five o'clock, snuff flew a few times, brighter than before. Suddenly I heard a faint fragrance coming from the cave, which was refreshing and fragrant. Mrs. Dou struggled for a while, sweating profusely, and the Queen Mother was skilled and busy. A new life was born.

According to legend, it was still dark and it was gray outside. The baby became a desperado, and the crying alarmed the Queen Mother, so that the sun god hurried out to meet him. In an instant, the horizon is colorful, the sunlight is radiant, the purple gas rises, and the ice and snow melt. Flowers are in full bloom and birds are singing outside the cave. "The queen mother gives the holy light, and the baby is extraordinary." People run around telling each other stories and like legends.

In order to protect the safety of mother and child, Taoist priests also dug a long passage in the cave. It is said that the exit is at Shangge Temple in Wugong Town, 20 miles north of the cave. Once someone murders it, they can run away from it.

In 626 AD, Tang Gaozu Tang Gaozu passed the throne to his son Li Shimin. In order to repay the kindness of upbringing, Emperor Taizong personally wrote the name of the temple: "Ian Temple", and led court officials to hold a banquet in Jianzigou, singing and dancing, which was unprecedented. "Tang" is famous for this and has been passed down to this day.

There is an ancient tree near Tangwang Cave. People call it a storable tree. Speaking of the origin of this tree name, there is a beautiful legend.

After Li Shimin was born, his father didn't return to the east, and his life became poorer and more difficult. My wife works hard and doesn't want to cause trouble to her neighbors. In order to raise Li Men's offspring, she had to get up early and get greedy for the dark, picking wild vegetables and grains to satisfy her hunger. When something edible nearby is lit, it will go far away to pick it. Because I ran around and found that there were more and more grains, which were not easy to carry, I wiped them off and brought them back.

Li Shimin was born sensible and didn't cry or make trouble. His mother runs away every day and puts him under an old tree in front of the cave. Strange to say, this tree is leafy and umbrella-shaped, which provides shade for children in the morning and stays there when the sun goes down in the afternoon. Birds singing in the trees, bees dancing and butterflies falling in love are very lively. The child is here, madam. Don't worry.

One day, it was sunny, and she went out a long way. In the afternoon, the weather changed suddenly, dark clouds rolled, thunder and lightning flashed, and suddenly it rained heavily. The lady suddenly remembered that the child was still under the tree, and it was hard to keep good or bad luck. She couldn't help but lose her mind and shouted, "My son! My son! " Along the way, she kicked mud and splashed water. She became a clay figurine. Running to the edge of the old tree, she stood aside and began to wonder: Who knows that under the shadow of the child, everything is still warm, and the whole world is safe and sound, giggling at her mother. Li Furen hurriedly picked up the child, because her hands were cold, and the child jumped up and gave her a handful of urine. She kissed the child's rosy face a few times, looked up at the tree and sighed. "This tree is really layered!" " "Since then, this storable tree has been widely known, but the real name of this tree is unknown. As the sun and the moon passed, the wind carved and the rain eroded, and the trees slowly turned into colorful wood fossils shaped like rockeries, standing firm and crisp in the sky. According to legend, some people are sick, and after taking some medicine, their condition has really improved. So it has always been regarded as a treasure by local people.

According to legend, during the Republic of China, a foreign scholar, who admired this place, became interested in "wood fossils" and wanted to buy them at a high price, which was rejected by the locals. Later, he wanted to take a photo as a souvenir. Who knows that dozens of pictures have been taken, and there is no clear image. Scholars became suspicious, so they simply stayed and took pictures in turn every hour. As a result, only the one taken when the sun was just blooming was the clearest. Some people say that this is the manifestation of the son of heaven, the eternal light, and the "survivable tree" to protect the emperor. Except now, it is not true.
