The climatic conditions in luxi county are quite complicated. Luxi county is located in the southeast of Yunnan Province, north of Honghe Hani and Yi Autonomous Prefecture. Geographical coordinates are 103 30' ~ 104 03' east longitude and 24 15' ~ 24 46' north latitude.

Generally speaking, the climate in this county is characterized by distinct dryness and wetness, rainy in summer and dry in winter. In addition to seasonal changes, there are also local regional differences due to different altitudes and topography. Winter (dry season) is mainly controlled by westerly circulation, with less traffic, plenty of sunshine, high temperature, less rainfall, low temperature, high wind speed and clear weather, which is the climate characteristic of dry season, but it is also often influenced by polar cold air masses and southeast backflow airflow. During this period, the weather is often cloudy, and the amount of solar radiation reaching the ground is less. Therefore, the county has a mild climate, with no heat in summer and no cold in winter. The temperature difference is large throughout the year.
