Dujiangyan is a county-level city under the jurisdiction of Sichuan Province, managed by Chengdu, located at the mouth of Minjiang River on the northwest edge of Chengdu Plain, bordering Pengzhou City, Pidu District and Wenjiang District in the east, Wenchuan County in the west and north, and chongzhou city in the south. The territory of the city is high in the northwest and low in the southeast, belonging to the subtropical humid monsoon climate zone of Sichuan Basin, with a total area of 1.208 square kilometers. Dujiangyan City straddles Longmen Mountain in western Sichuan and the top of Minjiang alluvial fan in Chengdu Plain. The terrain of this city is high in the northwest and low in the southeast.
