Is it cold in Norway in winter?

Winter in Norway is very cold.

Winter nights are long all over Norway. From mid-June 1 1 to the end of June 1, there was no sun at all in most parts of northern Norway, or the horizon was only slightly exposed. However, it is not dark here, and the snow illuminates this land in a very poetic way. When the weather is clear, especially in the south of this area, you can experience hours of sunshine and beautiful sunsets, while the sky in the north is dark blue.

The Norwegian mainland has a sub-frigid coniferous forest climate, the southern part has a temperate maritime climate, and Svalbard and Jan Mayen have a tundra climate. The annual average temperature in the capital is 7℃, and the annual precipitation is about 740mm. The northern lights can usually be seen in the northern region, but in rare cases, the northern lights can be enjoyed throughout Norway. October to March is the best season to catch up with this magical light and shadow show.
