Summary of earth pond breeding work

1. Pond cleaning:

Generally, pond cleaning begins in March. When cleaning the pond, 10-20 cm of water can be left for disinfection. If there are many harmful algae in the pond water, , such as cyanobacteria, dinoflagellates, etc., if there are many, try to drain them as much as possible. If the pond has already been dry due to the need for pond restoration years ago, this point can be omitted.

2. Disinfection.

In principle, as soon as the pond is cleaned, the bottom of the pond can be killed and disinfected. This step of operation is not affected by the weather.

3. Water inlet

Generally, water inlet can be started on the third day after disinfection. If the water inlet time is tight, the water inlet depth at the edge of each pond can reach 30-30 Seedlings can be released at 40. If there is sufficient time for water inflow, try to add water only about 30 centimeters away from the dam. Because of the large water body, the water quality fluctuates little, which is beneficial for the shrimp seedlings to survive the stress period.

Start spreading bacteria one week before planting seedlings. Sprinkle 5-6 pounds of fermented EM bacteria/acre into a pond. Try to use the bacteria in the morning on a sunny day. Because some strains of bacteria require aerobic respiration, removing the bacteria in the morning is beneficial to their survival and reproduction.

4. Water quality requirements before planting seedlings

The requirements for water quality before planting seedlings are not very high. There is no need to deliberately apply fertilizer water, because generally old ponds have a layer of base fertilizer at the bottom of the pond. , after the bacteria are added, the organic matter at the bottom of the pond will be decomposed, and an appropriate amount of fertilizer will be released for the reproduction of algae in the water body. Generally, 7-10 days after the initial application of bacteria, the transparency of the water body is between 20-60. If the water body rises and then falls down after the application of bacteria, there is no need to rush to fertilize, you can add bacteria again. If the water has been clear for more than ten days, the seedlings can also be released in clear water.

Before entering the water, pay attention to whether there are traces of moss on the bottom of each pond where water will enter. If moss is easy to grow, fertilize and water should be provided in time after the water enters. Fertilizer and water can be mixed with compound fertilizer and organic fertilizer, or organic fertilizer or compound fertilizer alone can be used. If the former method is used, it is usually 2-4 pounds of compound fertilizer plus 4-5 pounds of organic fertilizer (such as chicken manure, etc.). The amount of fertilizer added to each pond is determined according to the original fertility of the pond bottom. If you feel the pond bottom is fatter, you can add more water, and vice versa.

5. Generally, streptozoa are planted one week later before sowing seedlings. This kind of water body is relatively stable. If conditions permit, there is no problem in releasing seedlings one month after entering the water.

6. Release seedlings

Release 60,000 to 80,000 seedlings per acre. After the seedlings enter the pond, soak the bags for about half an hour. Turn on all aerators every hour, and turn off all aerators when planting seedlings. After that, the oxygen machine was stopped until about 40-50 days.

7. Feeding

Generally, it depends on the water quality. Feeding should be started in about 20 days. If the water quality is good and there are many water, fertilizers and insects, the feeding can be postponed to 25-30 days. The water quality is not good enough. If it is thin or has few insects, it is necessary to feed it as early as possible, and you can start feeding it in about 15 days.

In the early days, one meal a day is given, and the feeding time is 2 hours. After 3-4 days of feeding, if the feed is eaten in advance for two consecutive days, the second meal can be started.

At the beginning of feeding, add 1-2 kilograms of feed to each pond to start testing. There is no need to feed too much to avoid waste.
