Brief Introduction of Andromeda Peak in fairy mountain Scenic Area
Fairy Peak, according to the "Four Famous Mountain Maps of Xiangtan County Records" published by Jiaqing in Qing Dynasty, is about 1.5km from the foot of the mountain to the peak. The south of the peak is flat and the north of the peak is steep. Two granite-grade mountain paths with a width of 1.5m from north to south meet halfway up the mountain, pass through forests and rocks, and reach the summit, with the grade of ***794, which was passed down by Gaotang Shili in Jiangshe Town (representing the aristocratic family of Li Tengfang, the minister of rites). There used to be immortal piles, mountain gates, earth temples and Meigong temples along the trail. Halfway up the mountain, there used to be a Mid-Levels Temple, and the door couplet said: "The mountain is half high; The spirit is at its peak. " There is a flat land in front of buddhist nun, which is said to be the place where monks practice martial arts. Now the temple site has been converted into a "fairy mountain villa", where tourists can eat and live.
On the top of the mountain, there is an ancient temple, Long 'an Temple. In the first year of Zhenyuan in Tang Dynasty (785), a monk named Ruhai came to Xi 'an from Chang 'an, where he meditated and died. Liu Zongyuan has Zen Master Long Anhai. Longan Xiange was built in the second year of Song Dynasty (1 126), and many ancient bricks of "Longan Xiange in the second year of Baoqing" were unearthed. Later, the temples and pavilions were destroyed, and now the temples are basically restored as they were. On the left side of the temple gate, two feet away, there is the tomb of Master Haichan. The tomb is still there, and the jar for burying monks has been destroyed. The immortal stone pheasant has three eyes. Legend has it that once upon a time, oil and salt rice could be produced separately every morning for a monk to eat. Later, because the monk was greedy, he cut it big, so he couldn't get out. Now my eyes are still there. There are two pools outside the west hall of the Queen's Palace. One is a release pool about 8 feet square. There was once a thousand-year-old live turtle in the pool, with four words engraved on its back: "Millennium is not old." Now the water is as clear as a mirror, and turtles and shrimps are everywhere. First, there is a swan pond at the top of the mountain with a circumference of 6 feet and a depth of about 4 feet. The gap between the four walls is full of water, which is inexhaustible in dry years and is the drinking water source for monks and tourists. Legend has it that when the temple was built, it was difficult to start construction because there was no water source. One day, a swan flew from the east, landed here, spread its wings into a pool and got water. There is Ma Village in the north of the peak, and the mountain is steep. There is a hidden apartment on the hillside. According to legend, an army of the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom was stationed here. There are still ruins where huts are juxtaposed with Ma Shitou. There is a red pond in Yaojia village in Fengdong. According to legend, a unit of the Huang Chao Uprising Army was hidden here at the end of the Tang Dynasty, which was later discovered by Tang Jun. The insurgents fought bloody battles with it, and most of them were killed because they were outnumbered. Later, Tang Jun washed clothes in this pond, and the discerning water was dyed red by the blood of the rebel army. There is a killing depression at the end of Yao Jia Reservoir under the mountain peak. Lush trees and beautiful scenery. According to legend, at the end of the Yuan Dynasty, when Chao Xuan ordered the suppression of the peasant uprising, more than 10,000 people came here to take refuge. Fortunately, it was hidden by the fairy fog of Longwangjing and was not found. But at noon, the dark clouds dispersed, and the people who took refuge were discovered by the Yuan Army and all were brutally killed. Longwangjing has been abandoned since then, and there is no spring water. On the left side of Long 'an Temple, 200 meters away, there is Maqiling, which has a square and an area of about half an acre. According to legend, General Tang Shengzhi (1889— 1970), commander of the Eighth Army of the National Revolutionary Army, was stationed here in Maguan Mountain. Now there are observation decks and Longquan Pavilion Fountain.
1966, Forest Farm in Fairy Peak. Since 1988, Long 'an Temple has been restored and stands tall. Granite roads in You Shan have been replaced by cement roads. Through the Fairy Mountain Villa halfway up the Song (Jiazui) Fairy (Nvshan) Highway, it can go directly to National Highway 320, connecting Shangrui Expressway and Hunan-Guizhou Railway. Today, the Fairy Peak is shaded by pines and cypresses, with trees in the forest and birds singing and flowers fragrant, and its former glory is reappeared.
Tan Shuqing, a scholar in Jiaqing, Qing Dynasty, wrote a poem called "Fairy Mountain": "Fairy Mountain is full of yellow leaves, and chrysanthemums are full of weather. How many shoulders climb up, and the west wind delivers wine all the way. "
1990, Yang, former vice chairman of Hunan Provincial Political Consultative Conference, held a pen meeting here with famous poets in Xiangtan. Yang wrote: "the fairy mountain is green; Swan water is self-cleaning. " (Ye Huachen)
