It is located in the south-central part of Anhui Province, on the north bank of the Yangtze River, at the southeast foot of Dabie Mountain, with 310/'~ 3138' north latitude and 0/17 05' ~ 65' east longitude, with Baitu Lake, Caizi Lake and Tongcheng Water in the west. The southwest corner is adjacent to Yixiu District and Yingjiang District of Anqing City. It borders Wuwei County of Wuhu City and Lujiang County of Hefei City in the north; It borders Tongling suburbs in the east and Guichi District of Chizhou City across the river in the south.
