Generally speaking, temperate zones, coastal plain areas and plain areas impacted by rivers have fertile soil, convenient water use, no severe cold in winter and no intense heat in summer, which are most suitable for human habitation. The world-famous birthplaces are basically concentrated in these areas, such as the Yellow River Basin, the Mesopotamian Plain (Euphrates River and Tigris River Basin) and so on. At present, as far as the world is concerned, Western Europe has flat terrain, temperate maritime climate and the best living conditions.
