Phoenix Mountain: Phoenix Mountain in Zhuhai is located in the south of the Tropic of Cancer and in the north of Zhuhai. It belongs to coastal hilly areas. The mountainous area is a typical subtropical monsoon climate with high temperature, sufficient heat and abundant rainfall. The coverage rate of forest vegetation in Fenghuangshan area is 90%, and the vegetation type is the south subtropical evergreen broad-leaved forest community.

Phoenix Mountain is rich in landforms and numerous peaks. The peaks above150m are Phoenix Mountain, Da Nanshan, Xiao Nanshan, Dajingding, Loquat Land, Baiheding, Wang Tianshi, Jianshan, Zhenpaiding, Honghuashan, Nanguoshen, Zhoukeng Mountain, JD.COM Mountain, Baishaling and Cliff Gate.

Phoenix is rich in landscape resources and there are many streams in the area. There are Zhuhai Reservoir, Dajingshan Reservoir, Meixi Reservoir, Zhengkeng Reservoir and Youth Reservoir.

The location of the Phoenix Mountain Range is at the forefront of the Pearl River Delta region, with an east-west trend and a north-south trend. Together with Lantau Island in Hong Kong, it forms the pioneer of the "gateway" of the Pearl River Delta. Every spring and summer, the mountains block the hot monsoon blowing from the Pacific Ocean and weaken the typhoon generated on the sea. In autumn and winter, the cold air from the south is blocked in the north of Zhuhai, which makes the winter in Zhuhai much warmer than that in northern Guangdong. In addition, the Phoenix Mountain in Zhuhai, together with Luofu Mountain in the east of Lingdingyang, Baiyun Mountain in Guangzhou and Xiqiao Mountain in the South China Sea, form a large geographical climate zone and become an important part of the fertile soil in the Pearl River Delta. Qianshan River: Qianshan River originates from Wugui Mountain in Zhongshan, with a total length of 25 kilometers and a drainage area of 8 kilometers in Zhuhai. Qianshan River is the only river connected with the mainland in the main urban area, and it is also the main water source for the urban area and Macao.

The Qianshan River Basin in Zhuhai includes Qianshan River, Hongwanyong River and Guangchang River. These rivers are interlinked, and so are the rivers. Qianshan Waterway is the only inland waterway connecting Modaomen and Macao in the lower reaches of Xijiang River. It starts from Lianshiwan in Zhongshan City in the west and ends at Shijiaozui in Zhuhai City in the east, with a total length of 25 kilometers, and the eastern part is about 8 kilometers long. Located in Zhuhai, it flows through four groups: Nanping, Qianshan, Gongbei and Wanchai. The waterway gradually widens from west to east. The river width in Zhuhai is generally 250 ~ 500m, the widest point at Shijiaozui is 800m, and the water depth of the navigation channel is about1.5 ~ 2.0m.. Qianshan Waterway is a semi-closed waterway with sluices at both ends. Xijiang flood and storm surge in the South China Sea have little influence on it, and the slope is gentle, the flow is small, and the reservoir is stable, which is obviously different from ordinary natural rivers. Hongwanyong is 5 kilometers long, the river width varies from 80 to 200 meters, Guangchang Yong is 7.2 kilometers long and the river width varies from 60 ~ 150 meters. The three rivers are relatively gentle, with small flow and stable reservoirs, all of which flow into the urban area of Zhuhai, and are responsible for flood control, drought prevention, drainage, irrigation and urban water supply.
