Driving speed in foggy days with visibility less than 50 meters
According to the "Regulations on the Implementation of the Road Traffic Safety Law of the People's Republic of China", when the visibility is 50 meters in foggy days, the maximum driving speed shall not exceed 30 kilometers per hour.
When visibility is low, the distance should be kept as follows:
1. When the visibility is less than 200m, keep a distance of more than100m from the vehicle in front;
2. When the visibility is lower than100m, keep a distance of more than 50m from the vehicle in front;
3. When the visibility is less than 50 meters, keep a distance of more than 50 meters from the vehicle in front.
In the case of dense fog or low visibility in dense fog, you should do the following when driving:
1, keep a safe distance from the car in front, don't follow too close, and don't overtake casually. Keeping a safe distance from the front car can avoid rear-end collision when the front car brakes suddenly. Due to poor visibility. I can't see clearly, I may not be able to react when I see the car in front;
2. Always press the car horn to display the position;
3. Make full use of lighting. When driving in dense fog, visibility is very low. Fog lights, position lights and hazard warning lights must be turned on. It is forbidden to use high beam;
4. Adjust the speed.
To sum up, in high altitude areas passing through mountains or highways, or in foggy seasons, we may encounter foggy weather that affects visibility. In addition to slowing down and keeping the distance between cars, remember to turn on the double flashing lights and fog lights to let other cars see themselves and avoid collisions. In addition, if you encounter foggy weather on the expressway and the visibility is less than 50 meters, you'd better drive to a safe place as soon as possible and stop when the weather improves.
