Vernacular translation

At first glance, autumn is boundless, and the clouds are light and windy in the distance. Water and sky meet, the sky is high and the clouds are light, and the lonely city is deep and cloudy. Autumn wind blows up dead leaves and falls off faster. Looking at the distant mountain, the sun has just set. Why is the lonely crane late? You should know that crows already live in the forest.

This poem was written by the poet in the autumn field, and the whole article is about the scenery he saw in the field. The first sentence always writes "hope" in the clear autumn season. Looking at the endless scenery in autumn, this is a good performance of "far water and clear sky". The next step is to write about the scenery. Write about clouds, how far they overlap. Such clouds indicate that the weather is good at this time. Then from the cloud to the water, from the water to the city, although it is still a vision, it is approaching.

The water meets the sky, and the fog fills the air outside the city. As soon as I wrote this, it changed from the fine weather in the first league to a somewhat sad atmosphere. But the author not only wrote a little bit of sadness. "The leaves are thin and the wind falls" means "the wind rises and the leaves are thin and the wind falls". From couplets to close-ups, sadness is painted deeply. The sixth sentence says sunset, and then it becomes a distant view: the sunset has just sunk into a high mountain. Here, the coolness of autumn is more powerful.

The last pair of couplets incorporates the author's deep feelings: Why did the solitary crane return late? Those black crows have covered the Woods. Combined with the author's situation at that time, it is not difficult to find that the author had nowhere to stay at that time, and the Anshi Rebellion captured Luoyang. Du Fu, who wanted to go to Luoyang, was forced to return to Qin and Hua, and could not go home, so he felt a kind of sadness. So when he saw the solitary crane (the author said) returning late, he thought it was a faint crow (an Shi Rebel) who occupied the forest.

This poem shows the sadness of autumn from top to bottom, and the deeper sadness in the author's heart is caused by the An Shi Rebellion, which implicitly and forcefully criticizes the disaster brought to the country and people by the An Shi Rebellion.
