Should I take my baby out when the smog comes?

The weather has just entered late autumn, and even pedestrians who go out have not prepared anti-smog masks for this winter, but the haze has quietly arrived. On the streets on weekday mornings, adults take their children to school in a hurry, as if everyone wants to escape this foggy city, but there is nothing they can do under the dome.

We cannot change the environment, so we can only change ourselves. This is especially true for weak babies. Therefore, try not to take your baby out in smog weather. Smog will bring many harms to children.

1. Cause respiratory diseases. The baby's respiratory tract is inherently fragile, with narrow nasal cavity and fragile nasal mucosa. The harm to children in haze weather will be more obvious.

Children’s immunity is relatively weak, and they are more sensitive to particulate matter and pathogens in smog. When these harmful substances are inhaled into the baby's body, they will enter the lungs through the baby's respiratory tract and easily cause lung infection to the baby.

2. Research has found that the increase in PM2.5 concentration is related to the incidence of cardiopulmonary diseases.

3. Harmful substances in haze particles may enter the human blood system through the respiratory system, causing more harm to the human body.

However, children always have to go out when they go to school or have necessary activities, which requires parents to take adequate anti-smog measures for their babies.

1. Try to avoid rush hours, as the air quality is the worst during this period.

2. Wear professional anti-smog masks for your children.

3. Wear a scarf, a hat, and wrap the child tightly to prevent harmful particles from directly contacting the baby's skin.

4. Do not take your children to do sports in hazy weather.

5. After returning home, clean up in time. Wash your face, hands, rinse your mouth, and clean your nasal cavity.
