What does a weatherman do?

Engaged in the work mainly includes:

(1) Conduct ground meteorological observation, high-altitude meteorological observation, special atmospheric observation, weather radar observation and meteorological satellite observation on the atmospheric characteristics, weather phenomena and climate change of different types of observation stations;

(2) According to relevant regulations, transmit observation information;

(3) Input and record observation data, and conduct basic statistics of pre-trial.

Engineering and technical personnel engaged in meteorological information analysis and research, making and releasing meteorological forecasts to the society.

Engaged in the work mainly includes:

(1) Collect and analyze all available real-time and relevant historical meteorological data, and make short-term and medium-term atmospheric circulation situation and atmospheric quality forecast within the required scope;

(two) the use of forecasting techniques and methods, in accordance with the provisions and procedures to produce and publish short-term and medium-term meteorological element forecasts and severe weather forecasts within the scope of their duties;

(3) Monitor the evolution of atmospheric circulation and weather changes at any time, and make and publish short-term and near-term weather forecasts.
