Although the peak season for visiting Huangshan is from March 16th to November 15th, winter is called "Winter" by tourists. This is the most beautiful season in Huangshan. The winter in Huangshan is relatively long. Snow falls around late October every year. Snow falls all over the mountain from November to March of the following year. The peak snow period is from December to February of the following year, which is also the best season for winter travel.

In short, you can see the snow scene in late October. Even if it doesn’t snow, you can still see the beautiful rime (also known as fog hanging). According to legend, in the early Qing Dynasty, a wealthy businessman from the local Xu family built the temple to make up for the regret that his mother wanted to visit the West Lake in Hangzhou, but was unable to do so due to old age and frailty. A filial son spent a lot of money to dig ponds and build mountains beside the village to simulate the scenery of the West Lake.

Because sandalwood flowers are planted all over the garden and there is a small stream flowing slowly around it, it is named Sandalwood Garden after taking the meaning of cutting down sandalwood and placing it dry in the "Book of Songs" . There is a water street in the village, which is the main street of the village. There are nearly a hundred Hui-style houses on both sides of the street. There is also a rain-proof corridor of more than 40 meters. Under the corridor, facing the river, is a beautiful place for people to rest and chat.
