My Brazilian tortoise woke up in February, and the weather became warmer. But it will get cold soon. What should I do?

Many pets that need to hibernate (like some hamsters) can actually stay awake all winter if their homes are warm. Pets wake up in spring as usual. It is better to light a light bulb to heat it. If you sleep again, it may be harmful to the turtle's health (especially if it doesn't eat).

Feed it, drink water and bask in the sun where there is heating. Just don't be too cold at night.

In fact, even in the wild, Brazilian tortoises do not necessarily hibernate. Don't force your pet turtle to hibernate when it's not needed. Hibernation is a helpless measure to save energy and food in order to survive in the wild winter. It's dangerous (some animals just can't sleep).

Don't worry, let the tortoise eat whatever it wants. As long as the home is warm!
