Where is the selenium-enriched area?

Selenium-enriched areas include Enshi in Hubei, Shitai in Anhui, Kaiyang in Guizhou, Yichun in Jiangxi, Fenghua in Zhejiang and Ping 'an in Qinghai.

Enshi is a "world biological selenium bank", with many kinds of selenium-enriched biological resources and high selenium content, which is rare in the world. 2011September 19, Enshi was awarded the title of "Selenium Capital of the World" at the 14th International Conference on Trace Elements for People and Animals.

2. Anhui Shitai

Known as one of the three selenium-rich villages in China, it is a big mountain village in Xianyu Mountain, Shitai, Anhui Province. Professors and experts from China University of Science and Technology once tested the contents of trace elements in the soil, and found that the selenium content in the soil where Dashan Village is located is between Enshi, Hubei Province and Ziyang, Shaanxi Province, which is rare in China.

3. Ziyang in Shaanxi Province

Ziyang County is a famous research and development base of selenium-enriched biological resources in China. Animals and plants growing in Ziyang are natural carriers of organic selenium, and the development of selenium-enriched edible beverages has a good resource base.

4. Yichun in Jiangxi Province

Mingyueshan hot spring is a rare selenium-enriched hot spring at home and abroad. It is distributed within 0.8 square kilometers of Wentang Town at the foot of Mingyue Mountain. The water temperature is kept at 68℃-72℃ all the year round. Colorless and tasteless, it can be drunk and bathed. The water quality is good and does not contain sulfur. It contains nearly 20 kinds of trace elements which are very beneficial to human body.

5. Fenghua Zhejiang

Lengxi Village, located in the southeast of Shangtian Town, is located at the foot of Changshou Mountain. The soil is rich in selenium, the climate is mild and humid, the scenery is beautiful and the ecology is livable.

6. Qinghai is very safe

The area of selenium-enriched soil in Ping 'an District has reached more than 600 square kilometers, and the average selenium content is 0.44mg/kg, which is higher than the national soil background value. Thick soil layer and moderate selenium content are suitable for development and utilization, reaching sufficient or moderate selenium level.
