Night scene shooting

1. Shooting night scenes mainly refers to the scenery under outdoor lighting or natural light at night. When shooting, the main light sources are lights, firelight, moonlight, neon lights and shuttle cars in the street.

2. When shooting, we should first keep the atmosphere at night and the authenticity of the lighting. We should use tripods, cable release and other accessories, and use one or more exposure forms. When shooting a clear scene, the aperture should be smaller, and the shutter should be placed on the B door or the T door to expose according to the brightness of the light.

3. Choosing different white balance will directly affect the tone and artistic conception of the photo. Generally speaking, don't choose automatic white balance, which will affect the inherent color of light and make it lose its unique color temperature feeling. In order to highlight colorful lanterns, you can set the white balance to "daylight" or "outdoor" mode. Of course, this is not absolute. You can try shooting with a different white balance and make adjustments later.

4. You can use sunlight film, or you can use films with high sensitivity such as ISO50, ISO64, ISO 100. The exposure time of low-sensitivity film can be longer, and the particles of the film will be finer after shooting. Can perfectly show the beauty of the night.

Rain scene shooting

Rainy days are the least favorite weather for photographers. Whether it is heavy rain or light rain, few people take a camera to take pictures of the scenery outside, and some even think that it is impossible to take pictures of the scenery on rainy days.

As we all know, you can take pictures with light. You can shoot night scenes at night, of course, you can also shoot rain scenes during the day, and you can also shoot dynamic rain scenes, even rainy nights. Rainy scenery also has its unique emotional appeal, not to mention rainy days are also an indispensable scene in people's lives. In order to reflect more life scenes and enrich the content of scenery, rain scene is also an essential subject for our shooting.

When shooting a rain scene, in order to show the rain stripes in the rain scene in the photo, in addition to choosing heavy rain, it is necessary to have a dark background as a foil. If the background of the rainy scene is the sky, then the rainy sky must be white and dense clouds. Even if it rains heavily, it can't appear because the background and rain bars are white. The closer the background is, the more prone it is to rain bars. The farther the background, the bigger the scene, and the rain bars are not easy to appear clearly. Therefore, the shooting range of the rain scene should not be too large, and it is more important to avoid the white sky occupying most of the picture and affecting the performance of rain bars in the scene.

When it rains, the brightness of the scenery is generally weak. Therefore, when shooting a rain scene, it is generally necessary to use a larger aperture and a slower shutter speed, so that the rain scene has sufficient sensitivity. In order to show the rain bars that have not yet landed in the scene space and master the dynamics in the rain, we should shoot at a higher position. Generally, when shooting a rain scene with the shutter speed of 1/60s, you can show the rainbands that have not landed in the space. If the rain stripes in the rain scene space are short when shooting with shutter speed, a longer rain scene can be obtained with a slower shutter speed, and the dynamics in the scene may not be clear enough.

Shooting a scene in light rain, because there is not enough light rain in the scene, it is impossible to show rain stripes. However, when Mao Mao rain is used to shoot dark Woods or mountain layers, because there is no sunshine in the scenery, the objects in Shenzhen Special Economic Zone are all colored, and Mao Mao rain will be like a fog layer between dark objects, showing a far-shallow and near-deep color. If the framing range is not very large, you can also show a misty rain scene in the scene with the brightness of nearby objects as the exposure tone.

When shooting rain scenes, we should pay attention to the following points:

1, the light changes greatly in rainy days, sometimes the brightness of rainy days is very high, and the brightness of cloudy days is very low, and the exposure between them can be different by many times. Therefore, when shooting, it is best to use an exposure meter to measure light.

2. When shooting in rainy days, overexposure often occurs, which is extremely unfavorable to the performance of rain scenes. Because the contrast of rainy scenery is small, overexposure will make the contrast smaller, and the photo looks gray. Therefore, the methods of reducing exposure and prolonging development are generally adopted to improve contrast. Normal exposure can be reduced by one step to one and a half steps, and the development time can be increased by 20%-30% for each step reduction, which is helpful to improve the picture contrast.

3. When shooting the rain scene, don't take the sky as the background, but choose a darker background, so as to set off the bright rain. If there is water in the picture, whether it is the water surface of rivers and lakes or the accumulated water in the street, the layers of ripples splashed by raindrops on the water surface will also contribute to the performance of the rain scene.

4, the rain will not fall vertically to the ground, generally choose the rain silk into 45? The direction is right. The shutter speed used should not be too high, because high speed will freeze the rain and form small spots, so there is no feeling of rain. If the shutter speed is too slow, the rain will stretch into long strips, and the effect is not good. Generally speaking, the speed from 1/30 seconds to 1/60 seconds is better. At this time, the shutter speed is not high, which can emphasize the movement when it rains.

5. When shooting a rain scene, pay attention to the distance between the lens and the raindrops. When the raindrop is too close to the camera, a small raindrop will also cover the distant scenery. Of course, sometimes this special effect is needed intentionally. Be careful that the camera can't get wet in the rain, and don't splash the rain on the lens. Generally, you can cover the camera with an umbrella or put the camera in a plastic bag to expose the lens and viewfinder.

6. indoors, if you want to show the outdoor rain scene through the window, you can coat a thin layer of oil on the outdoor glass window. In this way, water droplets can easily hang on the glass, rendering the atmosphere of rainy days.

7. When shooting a rainy scene with color film, due to the high color temperature of rainy light, when using daylight film, the photo will have obvious blue tone. This color cast does not need to be corrected, because the blue tone can render the feeling of cold in rainy days.

8. When shooting night scenes in rainy days, the picture will be very vivid due to the reflection of lamp light and ground water. Especially when shooting with color film, the color effect of rainy night scene is more abundant than that of ordinary night scene.

Sunrise and sunset

To shoot sunrise and sunset, we must first grasp the timing of sunrise and sunset and the specific location. Different seasons have different times and places. Soon after the sun rose completely, the light turned from red to white, and the original light and shadow atmosphere disappeared. So when shooting sunrise and sunset, you must press the shutter on the ridge (sea level) where the sun has just risen or is about to set.

In framing composition, the photographer should put the sun on the right or upper right corner of the picture. Beginners of photography should never put the sun in the center of the picture, otherwise there will be only a solitary close-up of the sun in the whole picture. For ordinary travel photographers, the focal length of 100-300 mm is enough, and the photos of sunrise and sunset scenery without foreground or sky color are meaningless and can only be used as backup material (commonly known as "Huang Zhai" by photographers).

When the sun just rises from the horizon or is about to set in the west, there is a certain sunrise or sunset on the ground to cover the light scattered by the sun, and a round sun without light scattering appears. This is the time to shoot sunrise or sunset. When the sun just rises or just sets, there are often some colored clouds on the horizon against the light in the sky. We can wait until the sun clouds have no light scattering before shooting the sunrise or sunset. This can not only avoid the halo on the negative caused by sun scattering, but also make the scene in the sky not only have a lonely sun.

When the sun has just risen or is about to set off on the mountain layer, because there is no reflection of water between mountains, it is in complete contrast with the black tone of the sky with the sun. Therefore, when shooting a sunrise or sunset scene on a mountain, only when clouds cover part of the sun or enlarge or increase the exposure of the sky can the colors of the sky and the mountains be more balanced.

It is also common that there are no clouds in the sky when the sun has just risen or is about to set. In order to avoid the sky being too monotonous, using some sparse leaves and branches as the foreground of the empty sky can help balance the structure of the scene. But if there are too many branches or leaves, it will cover most of the sky and affect the balance of the picture.

There is not much difference between the image and tone of the sun in the morning and evening. If you want to distinguish between sunrise and sunset from photos, you should distinguish them by scenery and color, because the sky on the horizon is generally clear in the morning in Wan Li, and when the sun rises, it will quickly disperse the light. At dusk, the sky on the horizon is generally cloudy, and there is no scattered light when the sun is far from the horizon. As far as hue is concerned, the sky is red with yellow in the morning and magenta in the evening.

Therefore, when shooting the sunrise, you should shoot it as soon as the sun comes out of the horizon, and you can't miss it. Shooting the sunset can start when there is no light scattering, and it can only be taken with confidence when it is about to enter the horizon.

Architectural photography

The main purpose of shooting architecture is to show that designers have very successful designs in building scale and modeling structure, reflecting the architectural style of the present period.

How to shoot a good building, photographers should use a variety of means to express the object.

1. When shooting buildings, because the current buildings are mainly high-rise buildings, and the walls are mostly made of glass, to show the luxurious style of buildings, professional cameras are generally used, and the lens and film plane can be adjusted from multiple angles, so that the buildings will not be greatly deformed when taking pictures.

2. The front lighting building receives general illumination, and the light is dim and weak, lacking three-dimensional sense. Backlight can shine on the sun, but it can't show that the local part of the building is stronger than the vivid three-dimensional sense, so it is generally suitable for shooting in the morning.

Grassland shooting skills and case analysis

Spring has come, can summer be far behind?

In hot summer, find a summer resort to take pictures! In summer, the grassland has a pleasant climate and abundant water plants. Finding a grassland closest to the blue sky and white clouds and cattle and sheep pastures is the best choice for summer photography. This article will share with you some skills of shooting grasslands.

When shooting sheep, horses and other large herds, you should choose a high angle. It's best to put the horizon in one-fifth of the picture, even at the edge of the picture. Don't let the sky and the grass be half and half. In order to avoid the sense of emptiness from the pasture, we can consciously arrange the winding rivers and swamps into the picture, which can not only beautify the composition and enrich the color, but also give people a feeling of rich water plants and vitality.

On the other hand, the clouds in the sky on the grassland are endless, and various shapes make people think. White clouds can set off the blue sky well. There are not many sheep on the ground, and high-angle shooting is scattered. At this time, it is necessary to shoot at a low angle, which can make several sheep on the ground and white clouds in the air become one, and set each other off.

Here, I will remind children's shoes of some grassland shooting skills. First of all, the wind is very strong in many places on the grassland. When shooting grassland scenery, it is best to take a tripod with reliable quality.

In the grassland area of high latitude, ultraviolet rays are very strong, and PL mirror (polarizer) is equipped to absorb ultraviolet light source and improve image quality.

Grassland shooting composition and framing case sharing

The core of grassland photos is lines and colors. The use of composition and framing, lines and colors can show the most beautiful side and fully express the theme connotation.

In order to form a stable picture, the interface outline is used, the picture is divided into three parts horizontally, and the building is placed at the intersection of the right vertical lines of the trisection. This work emphasizes the autumn of grassland, and the proportion of the lower side of the picture is specially increased when shooting, thus emphasizing the color of grassland.

Blue sky and white clouds, green grass below. In addition, there is a small room on the left. The direction of the hut is connected with the diagonal of the grassland, between two clouds. The hut in this photo seems to be looking at clouds, expressing the theme of what the hut is waiting for anxiously. Just like this photo, even an ordinary object can become a unique photographic material as long as the composition is clever.

Got a picture of the ancient bag. The purpose of photography is to express a sense of freshness. The main body of this photo is an ancient bag, which boldly excludes the redundant objects around it, while the focus of photography is the contrast between light and shade, highlighting the main body. The photo is composed vertically, and the position of the ancient bag is arranged on the basis of dichotomy, while the shadow of the ancient bag extends to the right, showing a sense of stability.

Shooting skills of super-artistic backlight photos

It's late autumn and the weather is excellent. Warm sunshine always covers every corner, which is a good weather for taking pictures. Among all kinds of shooting subjects, backlight photography is a subject with great artistic charm and expressive force. It can make the picture produce an artistic effect completely different from the actual light we see with the naked eye at the scene. Generally speaking, in some specific cases, we can use backlight photography, and in backlight photography, we need to "control" the light more skillfully.

Backlit portraits can create a warm feeling.

Enhance the texture of the subject

Backlight is the best light when shooting transparent or translucent objects, such as flowers, plant branches and leaves. Because, on the one hand, backlight illumination can improve the brightness and saturation of transparent objects, and dull transparent or translucent objects under forward illumination present beautiful luster and good transparency; On the other hand, the brightness difference between transparent and opaque objects in the same picture is obviously widened, and the light and shade are opposite, which greatly enhances the artistic effect of the picture.

Enhance the rendering of the atmosphere

Backlight shooting is easy to produce artistic effects.

Landscape photography adopts light and shadow modeling method with low angle and large backlight in the morning and evening. Reflection paints rosy clouds as dyes, clouds as transpiration, and mountains, villages and trees as ink paintings. If mist, canoes and birds are added, it will trigger a deep sound in vision and mind, which will make the work deeper in connotation, higher in artistic conception and stronger in charm.

Enhance visual impact

When shooting in reverse light, due to the increase of the proportion of dark parts, quite a lot of details are blocked by shadows, and subjects with simple lines or small light receiving area suddenly appear in the picture. This large light ratio and Gao Fancha give people a strong visual impact, thus producing a strong artistic modeling effect.

Specifically, first of all, the background can be underexposed under the backlight, and the background can be purified, so as to achieve the effect of highlighting the subject; Secondly, it can vividly outline the clear outline of the subject, separate the subject from the background, highlight the ups and downs and lines of the subject, and strengthen the subject's sense of subjectivity; Third, it can profoundly portray the character. Because the light receiving area of the whole picture is small, most of the face and body are in shadow, forming a dense low-key picture dominated by dark colors, which is helpful to express the deep, implicit, solemn or melancholy character of the characters. At the same time, due to the large color contrast and strong light and dark layout, some defects in the face of characters can be diluted by strong light and covered by the shadow of backlight, so as to achieve the effect of fostering strengths and avoiding weaknesses.

Enhance the depth of the picture

Especially when shooting in the morning or evening with backlight, the color composition has changed from far to near due to the different media conditions in the air: the foreground is dark and the background is bright; The foreground color saturation is high and the background color saturation is low, which causes the whole picture to go from far to near, from shallow to deep, and from shallow to deep, forming a subtle sense of spatial depth.

"Photography Award" 20 10 Natural Environment Photographer Award

Florian Schulz, a German environmental photographer, won this year's annual selection of environmental photographers with a rare photo of devil fish gathering in the Gulf of Mexico. G.M.B. Akash, whom we are very familiar with, won the classification award for a group of works recording the survival problems of children in Baghdad.

"I have been studying in the Gulf of Mexico for 20 years, and this is the first time I have seen such a spectacular gathering of devil fish. If you look closely, you will find that the depth and width of light are equally considerable. All the rays swim in the same direction, and from time to time a few jump out of the water. No one can explain their reasons and intentions, which makes me feel the depth of the ocean again. Too many things are still completely unknown and mysterious to human beings. "

Shooting skills of residential houses

"Folk Houses" is simple and heavy, which explains the ancient civilization and historical vicissitudes of China. After filming the street view and tourist scenery of the city, film friends will find a corner of urban and rural areas, the original appearance of residential houses, and gain a lot.

The morning light or sunset outlines the clear outline of ancient buildings, with rich texture layout and rich life flavor of ancient civilization. A brick and a tree that was originally unknown has experienced vicissitudes of life. It brings us dignity and memory. The city is getting bigger and bigger, and there are fewer and fewer old buildings, which further germinates the belief of filming folk houses.

The charm of photographic dwellings lies in that proper artistic propaganda and dyeing can "extract" the aesthetic feeling of ancient buildings from the picture, which not only explains the life spirituality of ancient buildings, but also shows the modeling skills of photography. What it shows in front of people is the close connection and warmth between nature and life, which gives people a comfort.

Selection and use of photographic equipment

Both traditional SLR and digital SLR cameras can be used for residential shooting, but 120 camera is inconvenient to carry and troublesome to operate. Shooting "Folk Houses" requires many lenses, from 17mm ultra-wide angle to medium telephoto lens. For example, long and narrow courtyards and local brick and wood structures all need lenses to show details. Fixed focus lens has high descriptive power, and large aperture zoom lens can advance and retreat freely, which is convenient for composition. Traditional silver salt images emphasize detail, texture and massiness, while digital images are fast and convenient. Digital ultra-wide-angle lens covers a wider range, small aperture can show architectural details, large aperture can highlight creativity, and appropriately blur the foil. Reasonable use of the advantages of the camera can show the ancient buildings to the fullest. Of course, tripod, cable release and filter are all necessary.

Selection of shooting season and weather

Make full use of the morning and evening light to better grasp the charm of residential buildings. Good light will make ancient buildings and houses shine, while side light and backlight will set off architectural style. Different types of works can be created in different weather all year round, and the style of the same building will be very different in different seasons, mainly depending on how to grasp it.

Shooting angle and composition

The choice of shooting angle and composition depends on the scene environment. Beautifying works with lines and tones of folk houses can enrich the connotation of ancient buildings and highlight the main body. To highlight the clarity of the main body of the picture as much as possible, exposure and light use are the key to success or failure.

"Shooting Skills" 6 strokes of blue sky and white clouds photography

It is rare to meet good weather, and I plan to go out and take a beautiful moment. Why are photos always not blue enough and images not clear enough? If you want to shoot blue sky and white clouds, you must first master a few tips:

Author: Alice

First, make good use of props

By the code poet

Polarizers and subtractors (that is, grey mirror) or gradient grey mirror are good helpers. The former can remove stray light to keep the high color density of photos and make the clouds in the sky more stereoscopic, while the latter can reduce the light intake and avoid overexposure when shooting in the strongest light.

Second, adjust the most appropriate white balance.

Because color is one of the most important elements in shooting blue sky and white clouds, we must master the accurate color of the photo, so we need to pay attention to the color temperature when shooting. The preset "daylight" white balance in general digital SLR mirrors can reflect the primary colors closer to the real scene and reflect the colors of blue sky and white clouds.

Author: yvon.liu

Third, follow the light.

Choose the right time and direction for taking pictures. It is best to shoot along the light, that is to say, the direction of light irradiation is the same as that of camera shooting. For example, if the sun is in the east, it should shoot to the west. Because the scene is in direct sunlight, the shadow will be behind the object, so the picture is often bright, but the photographer's shadow is also easy to be photographed when shooting along the light, because more attention should be paid.

Author: Yang Dongfeng

Fourth, lens selection

It is suggested that beginners use wide-angle lens to shoot blue sky and white clouds, which makes it easier to highlight the vastness of the sky. This is not limited to shooting the blue sky theme. If you want to shoot the magnificent scenery of nature, you can also use a wide-angle lens.

V. Camera Settings

Just like shooting a landscape, in order to avoid the influence of the depth of the landscape, you can use a small aperture (about F8-F 1 1, depending on the intensity of sunlight) and set the focal length to infinity.

Author: Alice

Sixth, post-production.

Slightly strengthening color saturation and contrast can make photos stand out. Generally speaking, the most common method is to adjust the brightness contrast and saturation in Photoshop, or you can use the curve of the photo to adjust it.

Author: Thai vasala

As long as you master the above six points and practice composition skills, you can shoot a pleasing "blue sky and white clouds".
