In China, Wuhan, Jilin, Wuhu, and Luzhou All cities are called Jiangcheng, but only Wuhan is recognized as "Jiangcheng". The origin of Wuhan Jiangcheng actually has a long history.

Wuhan City is divided into three parts by the Yangtze River and Hanjiang River, forming a pattern of three towns, Wuchang, Hankou and Hanyang, standing across the river. The Wuhan section of the Yangtze River has a wide surface. The intersection of the two rivers has clear and spectacular views. This is an important reason why Wuhan is called the River City.

When Li Bai, a poet of the Tang Dynasty, was visiting Wuhan, he became very interested in poetry while drinking with Dr. Shi at the Yellow Crane Tower, so he wrote the poem "The Jade Flute is Playing in the Yellow Crane Tower, Plum Blossoms Fall in May in the River City" From then on, Jiangcheng and Wuhan had an indissoluble bond.

The Yellow Crane Tower on the Wuchang River is one of the three most famous towers in my country. For thousands of years, many emperors, generals, literati and poets have pointed out the country here, and left behind "turtles and snakes locking the river", " "A bridge flies from north to south, and the natural chasm becomes a thoroughfare" and other magnificent poems, so Wuhan is well-deserved to be called the River City.
