Yanjiao is a town under the jurisdiction of sanhe city. It is located in the border triangle between Hebei and Beijing, bordering Gaolou Town in sanhe city in the north, and facing Lucheng Town, Xiji Town and songzhuang town in Tongzhou District of Beijing across the Chaobai River in the west. The Beijing-Qinhuangdao Railway and Jingha Highway cross the east and west, with a total area of about 108 square kilometers.

Yanjiao was named after being located in the suburb of Yan State during the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period. It has a history of more than 3,000 years, and has the reputation of "driving the palace at the foot of the emperor".
