Guizhou Town, formerly known as the ancient city of Guizhou, belongs to Zigui County, Yichang City, Hubei Province. Known as "the throat of the Three Gorges and the pearl of Xixia", Guizhou Town, Qu Yuan's hometown, is located on the north bank of Xiling Gorge, 33 kilometers upstream of the Three Gorges Dam, in the hinterland of Zigui County, Hubei Province, with a land area of 120 square kilometers (20 17).
