Wuzhou is the easternmost city in Guangxi, next to Yunfu and Zhaoqing, and is one of the birthplaces of Lingnan culture. Wuzhou has many hills and low mountains, and the mountains are continuous. The terrain is high on all sides and low in the middle, like a basin. The climate here is subtropical monsoon, and heavy rains and strong convection are common.

The Xunjiang River, Guijiang River and Xijiang River meet in Wuzhou, so it is also called the "Three Rivers Estuary". Wuzhou has a population of 2.8 million, a GDP of 137 billion, and a per capita GDP of 48,000 yuan, ranking sixth in Guangxi.

This is also the hometown of Li Xiucheng and Chen Yucheng of the Taiping Army.
