"Dwelling in the Mountains in the Twilight Autumn" by Wang Wei of the Tang Dynasty, poetry
Poetic:
The empty mountains are bathed in a new rain. Night falls and the air is cool, as if it has arrived in autumn.
The bright moon shines clear light from the gaps in the pines, and clear spring water flows on the rocks.
The noisy sound in the bamboo forest is thought to be the return of the washer girl, and the swaying of the lotus leaves is thought to be wandering up and down the boat.
You might as well let the fragrance of spring fade away, but the kings and grandsons of the mountains in autumn can stay for a long time.
From: "Dwelling in the Mountains in Autumn" is a work by Wang Wei, a poet of the Tang Dynasty. Original text:
Dwelling in the Mountains in Autumn
Tang Dynasty: Wang Wei
After the new rain in the empty mountains, autumn comes late.
The bright moon shines among the pines, and the clear spring rocks flow upward.
The bamboo noise returns to Huan Nu, and the lotus moves off the fishing boat.
Let the spring fragrance rest at will, and the kings and grandsons can stay.
Extended information:
Creative background:
This poem describes the scene at dusk after rain seen in the mountain residence in early autumn. It should be when Wang Wei lived in seclusion at the foot of Zhongnan Mountain It was made when Wangchuan Villa was a villa.
Appreciation:
The poet switched from describing scenes to describing people. In this landscape painting, the natural beauty of the mountain village and the beauty of the villagers' life are harmoniously blended. "The noise of bamboo returns to Huan Nu, and the lotus moves down the fishing boat." These two sentences are both pictures of the activities of "Huan Nu" and "fisherman".
The poet adopts the writing method of "hearing the voice before seeing the person". But isn't it? It's nighttime and it's blocked by the bamboo forest. How can we see the women returning from washing their clothes? However, women came from the bamboo sea and moved slowly while stirring the green bamboo soaked in night dew.
There was a "rustling" sound, accompanied by their silver bell-like laughter, and the noise of laughter broke such a quiet night sky; then listen to the fluctuation of lotus leaves on the water, and the fishing boat goes along the river. Next, this is the fisherman who wants to take advantage of the moonlight tonight to catch fish.
The poet was moved by the scene, and his emotions arose spontaneously: The mountain people wore the moon to compose, and they followed their instincts. Such hard-working, simple and cheerful characters are far clearer and purer than the officialdom. These details all convey that the poet not only loves the beauty of the scenery here, but also loves the beauty of the people here.
This naturally provides a strong foundation for the conclusion. The two sentences at the end of the couplet, "If the spring fragrance rests at will, the kings and grandsons can stay," are the poet's sentiments. Although the spring has passed, the autumn scenery is even better and I am willing to stay. Wangsun refers to the poet himself.
This is the poet's reversal of the poetic meaning of "The Songs of Chu·Recruiting the Hermits" "When Wang Sunxi returns, he cannot stay in the mountains for long". It is said that the scenery of the mountain residence is particularly impressive. Just as the poet said in "Qingxi": "My mind is already idle, and the clear river is so calm."
His joy of returning to nature, and his dislike of officialdom are beyond words. In short, this pastoral poem depicts mountains and rivers, fresh and tranquil, and embodies the poet's noble feelings and pursuit of ideals in the poetic and picturesque atmosphere. It is rich in meaning and thought-provoking.
A variety of techniques are used in this poem. For example, line drawing, using movement to describe stillness, confrontation, inversion, allusion, etc. The whole poem is described using line drawing, so some people commented that "there are paintings in the poem".
The chin couplet uses movement to describe the stillness, expressing the tranquility of the night through the moonlight flowing and the clear spring flowing; the neck couplet is a technique of confrontation. The tail couplet is an allusion. "The noise of the bamboo returns to Huan Nu, and the lotus leaves the fishing boat." This is an inversion technique.
These two sentences are written very skillfully, and the pen does not reveal any trace, making people unaware of their skill. The poet first wrote "bamboo noise" and "lotus movement" because Huan Nu was hidden in the bamboo forest and the fishing boat was covered by lotus leaves and was not seen at first.
When I heard the noise in the bamboo forest and saw the lotus leaves, I discovered the Huan Nu and the lotus boat. Writing this way is more sincere and poetic.
