Which part of Guangdong is flooded?

In recent days, many areas in Guangdong Province have been hit by heavy rainfall, which has caused floods in urban and rural areas to varying degrees. Among them, Jiangmen City and Huilai County of Yangjiang City suffered the most.

Jiangmen is a prefecture-level city in the northernmost part of Guangdong Province. Recent frequent overnight rainfall has caused water accumulation in many main roads and low-lying areas. According to the local government, 75,000 households in Jiangmen City were affected and five people were missing. 1800 fire officers and soldiers participated in the rescue.

Huilai County is a county under the jurisdiction of Yangjiang City, Guangdong Province. The county has entered a state of emergency, schools are closed, public transportation is suspended, crops are seriously affected, and urban and rural traffic is paralyzed. Huilai county government requires disaster relief departments at all levels to do a good job in post-disaster rescue and recovery.

The Guangdong Flood Control and Disaster Relief Headquarters urgently launched a Class III emergency response, and mobilized more than 10,000 fire officers and soldiers in the province to invest in flood control and disaster relief.
