In ancient times, Meng Laohan and Jiang Laohan were neighbors separated by a wall. One spring, Meng Laohan planted a gourd seed in his yard. After careful cultivation by watering and fertilizing, the gourd seedlings grew fat and tall, climbed over the fence and made a big gourd in Jiang Laohan's yard, weighing dozens of pounds. When the gourd was ripe, Lao Manjiang cut it with a knife. Suddenly, he saw a white, fat and lovely female doll lying inside. Lao Manjiang was overjoyed and ran to tell everyone. When the villagers heard about it, they came to watch this new thing one after another, but Meng and Jiang had a contradiction and quarreled bitterly. Meng Laohan said firmly, "I planted this gourd myself, and the fat girl is mine." Lao Manjiang stubbornly said, "This gourd is tied in my yard, and this girl should be mine." After three days and nights of quarreling, it was inseparable and fruitless. After mediation by the villagers, it is concluded that the female dolls belong to two families, who live in turn and support each other, and are named "Meng Jiangnv".
Time flies, the sun and the moon fly, and more than ten years have passed in an instant. Meng and Jiang, two old people, chose a son-in-law named Fan Qiliang for their grown-up, and married on a certain day. Unforeseen things happened. On their wedding day, the bride and groom will pay their respects. Suddenly, they broke into several courtiers from outside, scrambling to regard the groom Fan Qiliang as a civilian worker.
It turned out that at that time, because Qin Shihuang dispatched a large number of civilian workers all over the country to build the Great Wall and worked day and night, countless civilian workers were exhausted and starved to death. In order to speed up the progress of the project, they caught civilian workers everywhere to supplement it, and Fan Qiliang was also sent as a civilian worker to repair the Great Wall.
In a blink of an eye, a year passed and there was no news of Fan Zhaliang. She was so anxious that Meng Jiangnv couldn't eat or sleep and didn't know what to do. After consulting with the two old people, she decided to go to her husband and vowed not to go home until she found him. She brought her husband dry food and extra warm clothes and set off. Along the way, the wind and rain, sun and rain, hunger and cold, trudged, and finally found a place to repair the Great Wall after trudging in Wan Li. I found that many people died to repair the Great Wall, and my husband, Fan Qiliang, was exhausted and buried under the Great Wall, and his bones could not be found. The news came like a bolt from the blue, and Meng Jiangnu immediately began to cry sadly. Tears welled up and the sound was like thunder. She cried earth-shattering, and it was dark. She watched the Great Wall collapse, the 800-mile-long Great Wall, and she cried wherever it fell. This time, the project manager was anxious to report to Qin Shihuang, who had been here to inspect the progress of the project. Qin Shihuang hurried to see Meng Jiangnv, trying to find out the root cause. After seeing her, I was fascinated by her beauty and insisted on making her an "official empress". Although Meng Jiangnv was full of anger, she still suppressed her hatred and had a brainwave. She must agree to the three conditions of Qin Shihuang to become a "formal queen". First, we must find the body of her husband Fan Zhaliang; Second, hold a state funeral for her husband; Third, Qin Shihuang should put Dai Xiao and flags on the funeral procession of Fan Qi-A Liang. Qin Shihuang listened to Meng Jiangnv's three conditions and thought for a moment. In order to get the beautiful Meng Jiangnv, she crustily skin of head and agreed. After paying homage to Fan Zhaliang's grave, Meng Jiangnv's old wish came true. Facing the rolling Bohai Sea, she committed suicide by jumping into the sea.
The story of Meng Jiangnv crying in the Great Wall was quickly sung by people. In memory of her, people built a tomb and a temple for her on a hill near Shanhaiguan, and named it "Jiangnv Temple". The story of Wan Li, Meng Jiangnu, who found a husband to send a cold coat and cried down the Great Wall for 800 miles, is a household name and has been passed down to this day.
2. Stories and legends of the Great Wall-wangjinglou
At that time, Qi Jiguang was appointed as the company commander of Jizhen Town. With the support of Tan Lun, he personally planned and supervised the Jinshanling Great Wall (located in Luanping County, Hebei Province).
The structure of this section of the Great Wall is unique. The wall is made of huge strips of stones and bricks. At the eastern end of the Jinshanling Great Wall, on the towering Tiger Hill, there is a wangjinglou at the top of the mountain, with an altitude of 1000 meters. There are cliffs on both sides of the building, and people can only climb through the cracks in the stone. It is said that many people were killed and injured in order to transport a stone when it was built, but the stone still could not be transported. This moved the Jade Emperor so much that he immediately sent his nephew Erlang God to transport stones. That night, Erlang God came to the foot of Tiger Mountain and saw piles of stones there. Then he shook his magic knife and immediately turned it into a mountain whip. He whipped the mountain whip with his hand and shouted "change" The stone immediately turned into a big goat and went straight to the top of the mountain. When he reached the top of the mountain, he counted, neither more nor less, just enough. At this time, a soldier urinated in the tent, suddenly saw Erlang God herding sheep and ran back with a scream. Erlang was also taken aback when he heard someone shouting. He kicked dozens of stones down the mountain and landed on the east mountain. Jiro immediately ascended to heaven.
In this way, there are dozens of stones missing for repairing wangjinglou. Now, when you go to wangjinglou, you will see that five of the twelve cornerstones at the bottom of the building are built with rubble. The stones kicked down the mountain by Erlang God are still piled up in the ravine, and the locals call them jumping stones.
3. The story and legend of the Great Wall-"Yumenguan"
In ancient times, in the west of Xiaofangcheng, Gansu Province, there was a post station called "Horse Lost Rabbit", also called "Horse Lost Rabbit". Caravans have to pass through this place to transport jade from the border to the Central Plains. The terrain here is very complicated: swamps are everywhere, ravines are criss-crossing, forests cover the sun, and weeds are everywhere. Whenever caravans carrying jade catch up with the hot weather, they always like to travel in the cool at night in order to avoid heatstroke of people and animals during the day. So whenever cavalry comes here, it is always dark and can't tell the direction. Even the old horses who often travel back and forth on this road will be confused and difficult to find their way. That's how the name "lost horse" came from.
There is a caravan selling jade and silk. It travels along this road all the year round and often gets lost in the "lost horse" Once, the caravan got lost as soon as it entered the "lost horse". People were very anxious, and suddenly a lone goose landed not far away. A young man in the caravan quietly caught the wild goose. He is kind-hearted and holds it in his arms, ready to take it out of the "lost horse" and then let it go. After a while, I saw the wild goose purring at the young man with tears: "Gollum, give me food and make me lost." After listening to this, the young man suddenly realized that he had left the goose because he was too hungry to fly, so he immediately took his own dry food and water to feed it. After eating, the geese flew into the sky and circled constantly, leading the caravan out of the "horse lost road" and successfully reaching the destination Xiaofang City. After a while, the caravan got lost in the "lost horse", and the wild goose flew in the air and cried, "Gollum, the caravan is lost." Whoops, the square plate is inlaid with jade. "Call while flying, while leading the caravan out of the way. Only the young man who saved the wild goose understood what the wild goose said and told the leader's boss: "The wild goose told us to put a luminous dark green jade in the small square city, and the caravan would never get lost again when it had a goal. "Hearing this, the boss felt that a glowing dark green jade was worth several thousand two hundred pieces of silver, and he could not bear to part with it, so he did not agree.
Unexpectedly, the next time the caravan got lost in the "lost horse", it could not find water for several days. The camel was panting with thirst, and everyone was thirsty and dying. Just then, the wild goose flew up again and cried in the air, "The caravan has been lost, and the square plate is inlaid with jade. Don't give up jet and never lead the way." Hearing this, the young man hurried to tell the boss. The boss panicked and asked the young man what to do. The young man said, "You should kneel down and swear to the goose:' You must be inlaid with jade and never break your word.' . "The boss immediately knelt down and swore to the wild goose as the young man said. When the geese heard this, they spun in the air for a while, which led to the caravan's "lost horse" again and the caravan was saved. After arriving in Xiaofangcheng, the boss never dared to love money again. He immediately picked out the biggest and best glowing dark green jade and put it on the top of the building. Whenever night falls, this jade shines brightly and can be clearly seen dozens of miles away in Fiona Fang. Caravans used to have goals and won't get lost again. Since then, Xiaofangcheng has been renamed "Yumenguan". In fact, Yumenguan was built by Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty, because it was an important traffic artery leading to the western regions in ancient China. Hetian jade stone was imported from the western regions and entered the customs from then on, hence the name.

4. The Legend of Jiayu Mountain
A long time ago, the snow water flowing from Qilian Mountain flowed into Beida River continuously, passed through the wasteland in the middle of Hexi Corridor, watered the fertile fields in that area and nurtured the people of all ethnic groups there. One day, a shepherd boy was herding sheep in the wasteland. He met an eccentric old man with a bag of stones and sand on his back and asked him how to get to Beida River. He said: "This Beida River used to be my home, but it was taken away by a group of people. I want to block it with stone sand this time. " When the shepherd boy heard this, he was very angry and immediately retorted, "Don't say that you used a bag of stone sand. Even if you move the mountains in the north, you still want to divert to the Beida River." Hearing this, the old man immediately turned the bag of stone salad to the left and right. Suddenly, many hills and a mountain rose from the wasteland, which is now Jiayu Mountain. It turned out that this strange old man was a turtle, but he read a spell to knock Jiayu Mountain down and block the Beida River. At this moment, there was a sudden strong wind, lightning and thunder, and the Jade Emperor sent Raytheon to kill the old man. At the place where he died, a mountain bag shaped like a turtle immediately rose, which is now the "Guigai Mountain".

Great wall story
Qi Changcheng
Built in the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period, the western part of the Great Wall is located on the Qilu border, while the eastern part passes through the country of Ju. Qi, Lu and Ju are all countries with relatively developed cultures in history, so since the construction of the Great Wall of Qi, the working people here have created many colorful legends around this grand project.
For more than two thousand years, the folklore about the Great Wall of Qi is all-encompassing and rich in content. There are myths and legends such as "Ten suns turn in turn" and "Laozi collects herbs and collects herbs in the mountains", as well as historical legends such as "General Yang Ting builds two Great Walls", "Huang Chao rebels move into Huang Chao village" and "Sister Wan Li becomes a monk in the Great Wall", and there are legends about the reasons for the construction of the Great Wall of Qi, that is, "the southern Great Wall blocks floods and the northern Great Wall blocks soldiers", and there are also legends about the difficulty of nailing cliffs during the construction of the Great Wall of Qi. There are legends of "Mu Lengguan v. Han Tong" and "Qingshiguan Zeng Guofan's resistance to the twisting army", as well as biographical legends of "General Chang was killed" and "Meng Jiangnv cried at the Great Wall".
These legends are ingenious in conception, fascinating in plot, rich in emotion and simple in language, and have been widely circulated in folk generations with their strong romanticism, becoming treasures in the treasure house of Chinese national literature. These legends and stories are not only literary, informative and interesting, but also provide important materials for us to study the history, culture, architecture and folk customs of the Great Wall of Qi.

Mentioning the Great Wall will remind people of the story of Meng Jiangnu crying on the Great Wall. The legend of Meng Jiangnv is almost a household name among the people, and it is well known to all women and children. It is one of the most popular folktales in China, and it also occupies a very important position in the history of world folktales and legends. This legendary story is based on the story of "Qi Liang's wife cried and her husband collapsed in the city". After more than 2500 years of artistic processing, it has become a well-known literary work. Because this story has a high degree of popularity and democracy, scholars in past dynasties always graft and clone it by stealing columns, pinning their will and fantasies, expressing their likes and dislikes and expressing their personal feelings.
Jiang Meng was born.
Once upon a time, there lived two families under the Great Wall Ridge in Shoushan, one surnamed Meng and the other surnamed Jiang. They are good neighbors separated by a wall, but none of them have children.
One year, the Meng family planted a gourd, and the gourd grew vigorously, and the gourd seedlings climbed up the roof of the Jiang family. It is strange that this gourd only bears one gourd, but this gourd grows on the walls of two houses. In autumn, the gourd is ripe, and both Meng and Jiang want to keep it for themselves. The two families don't give in to each other and quarrel endlessly. Finally, under the mediation of the villagers, it was decided that each family would be divided into half.
The two families picked the gourd and sawed it in half on the spot. The Meng family couldn't open the saw after looking for it, and finally saw it under the guidance of the carpenter. When it was sawed, everyone was very surprised! There sits a beautiful little girl who looks like a fairy. When the two families saw the little girl, they gave up the gourd, but rushed to hug the little girl. None of the two families could convince anyone. Finally, everyone mediated and the two families took turns raising the little girl.
Since then, the little girl has been raised by Meng and Jiang. One day, the Meng family said to the Jiang family, "Let's give her a name." After discussion, she was named Meng Jiangnv. Since then, the name Meng Jiangnv has been called by people. She got married when she grew up. In less than two months, her husband was recruited by Qi Weiwang as a migrant worker and went to Shoushan to build the Great Wall. Later, her husband was exhausted under the Great Wall and buried in it, and she cried. Her good reputation has been circulated among the people.
New theory of stories
The story of crying down the Great Wall first appeared in the Spring and Autumn Period (about 549 BC), when Qi was in the north of Mount Tai. In other words, Meng Jiangnv should be crying about the Great Wall of Qi, not the Great Wall built by Qin Shihuang (22 1-206 years ago). In fact, when the story appeared, Qin Changcheng had not yet been built, and the western section of the Great Wall of Qi had been completed before 557 BC. "Historical Records of Chu Family" just quoted Miracle as saying: "Qi Xuanwang rides mountains to build the Great Wall, east to the sea, and west to Jeju for more than a thousand miles." It can be seen that Qi Great Wall, not Qin Changcheng, was crying. As for the tomb of Meng Jiangnu near Shanhaiguan, it has been recorded in history. That's the tomb of Meng Jiangnv, which was changed from the virgin tomb of Qing Dynasty, and even misunderstood history. After a comprehensive inspection of the Great Wall, the Qi Great Wall expedition team put forward a new saying of crying for the Great Wall. From the perspective of historical evolution, the prototype of Meng Jiangnu is the wife of Qi Liang, whose former residence is in Changchengpu (village) of Changqing County, and her husband Qi Liang's former residence is in Qingzhou City, and Qi Liang's tomb is in Linzi District, all in Shandong Province, and all on the first line of Qi Great Wall. According to "Guanzi Light and Heavy Articles", the age of the Great Wall of Qi Dynasty: "Guanzi said: Yang of the Great Wall, Luye. The yin of the Great Wall is also angry. Guan Zhong was in Qi Huangong (685-642 BC), so Qi Huangong has the Great Wall. According to the research of China historians, the western section of the Great Wall of Qi was completed as early as fifteen years ago (557 years ago). The story of Qi Liang's wife crying her husband was first recorded in 549 BC, when the western section of the Great Wall of Qi was completed. I used to live in the Great Wall Store in the Great Wall of Xiqi. According to the story of Meng Jiangnv circulated in great wall village, Meng Jiangnv sent her husband away, returned to the Great Wall Store, wept bitterly, threw herself into Hongshijiang (the existing site of double suicide), was rescued by the Queen Mother, and later generations set up a temple as a god. It can be seen from this legend that Meng Jiangnu cried in the Great Wall and evolved into Meng Jiangnu crying in the Great Wall.
The historical story was born in Shandong, and the Great Wall of Qi was built before the death of Qi Liang. At this time, the Great Wall of Qin Changcheng and other countries has not been built, so the Great Wall called by Meng Jiangnv can only be Qi Great Wall, not other Great Walls.
Ginger in Qi State
In the ravine west of Mount Tai, there has been a traffic artery from Qi to Lu since ancient times. At the throat of this avenue, there are several villages in the north and south. The southernmost one is called Jieshou, the middle one is called Pijiadian, and the northernmost one is called Pudian. It was the junction of Qilu and Qilu. In order to defend the powerful state of Qi, the weak state of Lu built a border defense wall from west to east with tall and thick stakes, leaving only a stockade at the intersection and sending troops to guard it. Soon, a village was formed here, and its name was Jieshou. In the future, in order to do business conveniently, merchants in the State of Qi transported their goods to a place near the border between the two countries and settled down. They built shops and inns here, and soon formed villages, whose names were also called "shops" and "shops".
This year, a girl named Jiang, who moved from Linzi, the capital of Qi, was born in Puzi Village. Jiang has been smart since childhood and is very popular. With the growth of age, Xiao Mengjiang is not only more and more beautiful, but also more and more dexterous. She can spin, weave, cut and sew clothes, and her parents have always regarded her as the apple of her eye. When Meng Jiangnv was seventeen or eighteen, people came to visit relatives and friends in an endless stream. Finally, her parents chose a young man surnamed Wan, also from the capital Linzi, as her husband. The young man's name is Wan Qiliang.
After the couple got married, they were very kind, loving and sweet. This is a natural couple, a perfect couple. However, shortly after their marriage, in order to strengthen their defense, Qi vigorously recruited militia at home. First, the Great Wall was built on the border line from Taishan West to Jishui East Cliff.
At that time, young adults in China were basically recruited. Wan Qiliang is certainly not immune. At first, he built the Great Wall in his hometown. Although she is bitter and tired, Meng Jiangnv can visit her husband in the mountains at any time because he is close to home. After several years of hard construction, a very tall Great Wall has been built on the east and west hills of Puzi Village, and a very magnificent gate has also been built on the main road in the middle of Puzi Village.
After the Great Wall west of Mount Tai was completed, Wan Qiliang was transferred to the east of Yishan to build the Great Wall. Several years have passed, and there is no news. At home, parents miss their son, and Meng Jiangnv is more worried about her husband. The weather is particularly cold this winter. Meng Jiangnv's husband, who was distressed at home, rushed to make cotton-padded clothes overnight, cried goodbye to his in-laws and parents, and walked east along the Great Wall to find warm clothes for her husband. She walked all the way and asked, I don't know how many difficulties and obstacles she experienced, and finally got the news that her husband was in Ju 'an and the surrounding cities. When she arrived at the place where her husband built the city, she realized that her husband had already died of fatigue and was buried in the Great Wall.
Meng Jiangnv found her husband's face and body all the way here. She couldn't help rushing into her heart like an arrow. She can't stand her inner grief any longer. She threw herself on the wall where her husband was buried and burst into tears until the mountains wept and the sun and the moon hid their faces. In this way, Meng Jiangnv cried for more than ten days and nights, and finally moved to heaven. The Great Wall collapsed in a large area, and the body of her husband Wan Qiliang was well exposed. She rushed to embrace her husband's body and burst into tears again. Finally, with the help of many migrant workers and people, she dressed her husband in a new cotton-padded coat and chose a place with a sunny lee for reburial. She wanted to go with her husband, but when she thought of her parents' in-laws, she had to hold back her grief, bid farewell to her husband's grave and return to her hometown, but her parents had passed away.
In order to serve my in-laws and to be filial to my husband, I buried my inner pain deeply and took care of my in-laws wholeheartedly. But soon my in-laws learned from others that their son had died, and they were heartbroken and died one after another.
Desperate Meng Jiangnv fell into the Hongshi River in the east of the village and died.
The villagers in Puzi Village renamed the village "Changchengpu", because the Great Wall was built here, and a Meng Jiangnv named Great Wall was born. To commemorate the martyr Meng Jiangnv, the Meng Jiangnv Temple was built in the east of the attic of the city gate. The main hall of the temple is located in three rooms facing south, with two halls, east and west. There is a statue of Meng Jiangnu in the main hall, a mural painting of the legendary story of Meng Jiangnu and Wan Qiliang on the wall, and a three-step two-hole bridge in front of the hall. Although there were countless dynasties in the future, the incense of Meng Jiangnv Temple in Changchengpu Village kept burning, and the story of Meng Jiangnv crying at the Great Wall was passed down from generation to generation.
