When did the aurora appear?
Aurora is a colorful luminous phenomenon, which appears over the high magnetic latitudes of the earth. Aurora is a brilliant and beautiful glow that appears at night in high altitude areas near the north and south poles of the earth because the charged particle flow of the sun (solar wind) enters the earth's magnetic field.
From September every year to April the following year, it is the high incidence period of aurora. From the geographical location, temperature comfort and occurrence probability, northern Norway is the best place to watch the Northern Lights in the world. Northern Europe is located in the North Pole, so the phenomenon of aurora often appears. Aurora often appears, but the aurora in summer is invisible to the naked eye. This is because when the aurora is produced, the aurora occurrence place, the aurora observation place and the two places are often blocked by cloudy weather, and there are few opportunities to see it.
Huangdao Town, the "Aurora Capital"
The coolest thing about going to Canada in winter is of course to keep the program-Aurora. From the grasslands of Saskatchewan to the coast of Labrador to the villages in the Arctic, Canada has countless desolate and remote places. During the day, these places are inconspicuous, but at night, the scene is extraordinary. The ribbons that illuminate the night sky are green, yellow, lake green, purple and other colors. This is the Northern Lights. Its shape swings, just like magic in the sky.
Northwest Canada is the best place to watch the Northern Lights flashing like a green belt. Huangdao Town, the famous capital of Aurora, is the capital of northwest Canada and is recognized by travelers as "the capital of Aurora". The high latitude near the Arctic Circle makes it easier to see the aurora here, but there are not many residents here and the scenery is more primitive, which also provides a better background for watching the aurora.
This huge capital is also the starting point for exploring the northwest region. You can see a little starlight when you ride a dog sled. You know, the northwest can see some of the most spectacular scenery in Canada. Because there is no land to reach many areas, it can definitely be said to be a different adventure.
Experience of "Winter Restriction" in Huangdao Town
In addition to the aurora tour, Huangdao town can also provide many tourist experiences that can only be found in the northwest, such as dog sledding, Dina grilled fish, flying sightseeing and so on. In the dog sled project, you can drive the sled and control the reins yourself, which is a very interesting experience.
Because it is located on the bank of Danu Lake, ice fishing is also a very popular project every winter. Shoveling ice has a chance to catch local fish. Many travel agencies also offer group tours to take you to Danu Lake to compete with river trout, barracuda and lake red trout.
In addition, Huangdao Town has an impressive Snow King Festival every March. Snow King is a man with gray hair and a boat as his home. He built a huge ice castle in Huangdao Bay and organized this large-scale winter activity-concert, drama performance and ice hockey match.
