What are the environmental conditions for leek cultivation?

The adaptability of leek to temperature is wider than other onion and garlic vegetables. Leek is a cold-resistant vegetable. Its leaves can grow at suitable temperatures of 15 ~ 25℃ and 10 ~ 15℃. Leaves can tolerate low temperature of -4 ~-5℃, but cannot tolerate high temperature. When it exceeds 25℃, it will grow slowly, and when it exceeds 30℃, it will be blocked. The requirement for light is weaker than that of onion. Too much light and too many fibers have poor quality, and too weak light will reduce the yield. Leek is a shallow-rooted plant, which requires high soil moisture, preferably 80% ~ 95%, but its leaves are narrow and waxy, which can adapt to low air humidity. It needs loose and fertile soil and sufficient fertilizer and water supply, which can promote tillering and leaf growth and increase yield.
