Xiangtan Town, 1 Pingchang County governs the town. Nanmu Township 1950 was established, Xiangtan Township 1953 was transferred from Yilong County to Pingchang County, and the township was changed to town. 1958 was changed to commune, and 1984 was established to Xiangtan Town. Located in the southwest of the county seat, 52 kilometers away from the county government. Xiangtan Town is located 58 kilometers southwest of Pingchang County, bordering four counties (districts), namely Yilong, Yingshan, Bazhou and Pingchang, and the Ping-Yi-Da-Yi Highway passes through the territory, with convenient transportation.
