Monet haystack painting steps

Monet became interested in painting when he was still in primary school, and became a famous local satirist when he was a teenager. By chance, the landscape painter Budan saw several of Monet's works and admired him very much. After that, Budan became Monet's first painting teacher.

Budan often takes him out to paint landscapes and teach him some ideas. Budan believes that painting must go to nature, but painting at home is not good. Budan's words deeply influenced the mind of the future impressionist master.

Creative process

Dip the green grass with a brush and superimpose the green and yellow pigments to draw the feeling of grass. Then dip some dark green in the middle to draw the feeling of trees and jungles in the distance, and the color should be distinguished from the grass below. Then dip it in paint and draw the color of the sky. Overlay it with light blue and white, and add some white and gold.

The sky above can be described by a large area of white with a little blue, which makes the sky more layered. After the background is finished, we prepare cardboard to draw the shape of the haystack, cut it out and stick it on the background. Then dip the paint on it, showing the three-dimensional sense of the haystack.

Monet's haystack

1883 Monet bought a house in giverny, a suburb of Paris, and began to build his own paradise. Not far from the west of the house is farmland. After the autumn harvest, local farmers will firmly bind the harvested hundreds of bundles of wheat straw and pile them into a haystack with a height of 15 to 20 feet, and add a conical roof made of thatch as storage space to prevent the harvest from being eaten by rats when it is wet, waiting for the spring threshing season.
