Suqian, formerly known as Xia Xiang, Suyu and Zhongwu, is a prefecture-level city under the jurisdiction of Jiangsu Province. It is located in the northern wing of the Yangtze River Delta, the northern part of Jiangsu Province, the center of Xuzhou City, Lianyungang City and Huai 'an City, and the core city of Xuzhou Metropolitan Area and Jianghuai Ecological Economic Zone.
