Suzhou Hangzhi Tiger Hill

We have arrived in Suzhou near 1 o, and the weather is surprisingly good. It is no exaggeration to say that one second is summer. Time is tight, because Sister W has been to Suzhou, and she asked me to go to the Lingering Garden opposite. I didn't want to go alone, so we went to Tiger Hill together.

Baidu said: Tiger Hill, formerly known as Haiyong Mountain, was buried here by He Lv, the king of Wu, according to historical records. It is said that a white tiger sat on it three days after burial, hence the name. Huqiu Temple was founded in Jin Dynasty, renamed Wuqiu Hongji in Tang Dynasty, Yunyan Temple in Song Dynasty and Khufu Temple in Qing Dynasty. Tiger Hill covers an area of only over 300 mu, and the mountain is only over 30 meters high. However, it has the style of "the table of Zuo Qiu River Valley", with rugged rocks, a myriad of weather, and three wonders and nine scenic spots. The most famous are Yunyan Temple Pagoda and Jianchi: the towering Yunyan Temple Pagoda has a history of over 1000 years and is the second leaning tower in the world. Antique and magnificent, it has long been a symbol of ancient Suzhou. The sword pool is strange and mysterious, with the eternal mystery of the tomb of He Lv, the king of Wu, and the beautiful legend of the change of the word "God Goose", which makes people linger.

When Bai Juyi, a poet in the Tang Dynasty, was appointed as the secretariat of Suzhou, he chiseled mountains to divert water and built seven dikes to make the scenery of Tiger Hill more beautiful. The ancient trees on the mountain are towering, and the Millennium ancient pagoda lives in seclusion in the deep mountains. A century-old tiger hill is known as Wuzhong. Su Shi, a poet in the Song Dynasty, once said, "It is a pity to go to Suzhou instead of Tiger Hill." When evaluating the characteristics of Tiger Hill, the ancients once put forward the theory of "Nine Suits", namely, the moon, snow, rain, smoke, Yichun Xiao, summer, cool autumn, falling trees and sunset.

Tiger Hill is 34.3 meters high and covers an area of 18.8 hectares. Surrounded by water, the mountain environment is quiet. Entering Tiger Hill, crossing Haiyong Bridge and going up the mountain road, you can see the famous scenery of Tiger Hill at 18, such as Broken Beam Hall, Cold Spring, Sword Trial Stone, Pillow Stone, Mother Tomb, Qianshi Stone, Jianchi, Sanquan, Sun Wuting and Wang Sutai. Every scenic spot has fascinating historical legends and fairy tales. Below the sword pool is the burial place of He Lv, the king of Wu. When he was buried, he buried his favorite Jin Jian, such as "Zhu Bian" and "Fish Intestine", in the tomb for the sake of Jianchi. The word "sword pool" in seal script was handed down by Wang Xizhi. The pool is about 6 meters deep and dry all the year round. Crystal clear, you can drink.

"Yunyan Temple Pagoda", commonly known as Tiger Hill, is the most famous ancient pagoda in the Song Dynasty at home and abroad. Zhou Xiande, who was founded after the Five Dynasties (959), completed it in the second year of the Northern Song Dynasty (96 1). The tower has seven floors and eight sides, two floors inside and outside, half arch columns and wooden eaves, which is the representative work of brick towers in the Yangtze River valley in 10 century. Due to many fires from the Song Dynasty to the late Qing Dynasty, all the wooden eaves at the top were destroyed, and the tower is now 47.5 meters high. 1956, a large number of cultural relics were found in the tower, including rare artistic treasures such as the lotus turtle in Yueyao. The Tiger Hill we see now is a leaning tower. Due to the foundation, the tower began to tilt to the northwest 400 years ago. Despite the preliminary measurement, the vertical line from the center of the tower top to the center of the tower has reached 2.34 meters, with an inclination of 2.48 degrees.

We went in at 4: 50, but we came out at 5: 30 because of the urging of our friends. Although it is only a cursory look, we have to be impressed by the elegance of the ancients. No matter from the site selection, Buddhist temples, bird's-eye platforms, cloisters, cloisters, paths and bamboo forests, wisdom and Zen are all revealed.

Three thousand years of inheritance precipitated a tiger hill.
