2. Altay is a region, including 6 counties, 1 city. I usually go to Altay, mainly to see the scenery of Kanas (known as the Oriental Switzerland). Kanas is close to Burqin County, so when it comes to Kanas, you don't have to go to Altay City.
3. After Shanghai arrives in Urumqi, fly to Kanas or shuttle bus to Burqin County.
The shuttle bus takes at Nianzigou coach station in Urumqi. The fare is 130- 160 yuan. The express train at 10 in the morning or the night bus at 8: 00 in the evening can go directly to the county seat. Remember to buy insurance.
